Want to take some profits but I think I'm going to ride this thing
Posted on 5/22/18 at 10:12 am to castorinho
So can I buy this thing now or too late?

I would be fine with buying now. Still undervalued in my opinion. Market is pricing like there will be a big hit to pricing in the near future. The $10 bil buyback tells me management is confident that is not the case. I’m holding on for a long term value play, this will be 80-100 in a year. You can read some recent seeming alpha articles that have more specific numbers on the current valuation even after this run up in the last week.

He’s disappeared, but I wonder if he stuck with MU?
The weekly short puts have been like an ATM thus far.

Spoke too soon. Still can’t believe how cheap this stock is.

I had been planning to hold MU til $65 and a week ago it topped out around $64.50 and is down 7% since then

I sold some $60 weekly puts and got caught in that nasty downdraft too. Now I’m short $61 covered calls. As long as I can close out the long stock position before the June 20 earnings call, I’ll still be happy with these trades. It’s recovered nicely. The non-FAANG techs have rallied well.
Is anyone placing a long or short bet on MU (options or the stock) leading into the earnings announcement?

$MU is on my trading list (in spite of lack of dividends)
jmo.. but the strongest support is at $48....and there is only weak resistance @~60.
not enough profit potential selling puts under $48 to be worth with risk for me.
since this stock is favorite of the r/wallstreetbetscrowd...is pretty simple to fade.
...just do a volatility play before the earnings announcement (sell..a few weeks ago...and then buy back 10-15 minutes for close before announcement)

Impressive price action in MU on a sideways to down day in the NASDAQ. Now I'd just like to see MU end the day at $60.99... cause I'm a greedy bastage.

They are going to be buying about 1/6 of their outstanding shares.

Got hit with an injunction by a Chinese court for patent infringement. Might be worth watching as it may hit another good buy-in point shortly.
