It looks like Democrats extending phases and closing stuff off again is dragging the market down. Does the market drop again tomorrow? I'm thinking the Democrats play follow the leader which keeps the market dropping.

The goal for the Democrats is mail in ballots, but let's keep the focus on the market over the coming days. What direction it is going.

It seems like it used to be easier to predict a good tomorrow or a bad tomorrow.. Here lately I can't make heads or tails of what the hell is going on.
In the last 4 months I've seen good news make the market drop and bad news make it rise.
I've seen companies going through bankruptcies have there stock shoot up 100, 200, 300% over a few days....
I've seen rallies of 400/500 points end up as 400/500 point dog days over a fricking tweet..lol

To contribute to your prediction thread, I guess I have no prediction.. Your guess is more than likely better than mine!
Keep on keeping on!

Bulls made several attempts to push higher and failed and (short term) as long as sp500 stays below 3120 (which is the nearest most traded price)and above 2950...it's anybodies guess on what happens next. Still in a trading range.

I’m thinking it will be fairly flat on Thursday and hopefully rebound on Friday.

If you bought low in March and April hold on.

One of two things will happen: we rebound after November and you make money. Or the United States collapses and money is worthless anyway.

Any dips on safe stocks between now and then is just a buying opportunity.

Agree, settle tomorrow and get some good news Friday. Melt up into 4th of July holiday.

Crash after that because muh cases.

I’m sure none of this will happen

More and more Democrat run states will be playing follow the leader and trying to out virtue each other. I don't think the market bleeding stops for a while.

Meh.
TX, FL, AZ don't fit that mold.

The market is in a trading range thru the summer IMO. My expectation is we will have a deployable therapeutic knocking lethality out of the bastard virus by summer's end, along with a vaccine ready for deployment or close to it.

As an aside, I cannot convey how unbelievable our vaccine progress is.
The earliest we could have expected a vaccine by past mechanisms would have been 2024! Think about that!

We are now talking about the real possibility (probability in fact) of distributing a vaccine in the same calendar year of an emerging novel virus.

That's what happened last time. The Democrats all tried to out virtue signal each other. You don't have to look further than NOLA to see that.

the effort to control the virus is global, sustained and enjoys the greatest resources and best technology that has ever been deployed to surmount an obstacle.

i would not bet against success despite the damage that has already been inflicted. The bad news that will come is due to what has already happened, the good news will soon follow

Make NO mistake, this effort is no more "global" than was Apollo. The world is more than welcome to treatment per our efforts
