Love the Sprite but it’s left handed, not sure of my next but own a 116622 Yacht master and an Omega Plant Ocean GMT I rotate off and on as everyday watches.

I think 40 or 41 case size
Too small for me. I like left handed though.
That said I never use as intended aka adjusting time as watch is on right wrist

I am interested in where these discounts take place on new Rolex watches. Any reputable jeweler who is an official Rolex seller would be in deep doo doo if they were caught discounting the price of their watches. One jeweler told me that Rolex sends out spies to see if they can get a discount. Rolex will cut off the store if they do. It's a serious penalty.
To Rolex, discounts of their watches cheapen the brand.

When I bought my Hulk in 2018 the Rolex AD discounted the watch down to where I paid the list price only, no tax.

Discounts were very common prior to 2018. Especially on Precious Metal or Two Tone pieces. Even Stainless pieces you could get at least local tax rate discounted.

Congrats I guess.
Does a $15,000 watch keep different time than a $50 watch?

It sure feels good wearing it on your wrist, something about wearing a really nice watch that I like.
I love expensive fishing equipment also. Does it help me catch more and bigger bass? Maybe not, but I like it.
Some guys feel like I do, others don't even wear a watch. To each his own.

I’m not a watch guy at all, however most of these high end watches retain their value (and some actually increase over time) so there are much worse things to spend your money on.

Worse, ironically

quote:These things were always sort of precious but not like that have been the last 2-3 years. Back when the cases were full many dealers would sell them out the back door to grey market dealers so they would sell enough to keep their dealer status. Pages and pages of new Rolexes on sites like Rolex Forums. Now they are all over retail but they always weren't like that. These grey dealer damn sure weren't selling them for less than retail and losing money. Rolex has become more protective and started shrinking the dealer base but before that they kind of turned a blind eye to it to move units.

I'm kicking myself for not buying a no date sub about 15 years ago. IIRC prices were in the 4-5k range.

That’s cool most people do probably now for the most part but, I let one of our younger partners put on the Breitling I recently purchased and he was so thrilled in the experience he’s now put up a savings account to acquire a Grand Seiko SBGE201 Spring Drive GMT.
A very nice time pièce he can enjoy for a life time.
As someone said probably a lot worse tangible investments out there.
Mines just a small hobby some of the watches people have listed in here cost a great deal of money.
If I spot someone wearing one I don’t get zealous but, rather excited to be in the presence of such a piece.
It’s also nice to be recognized when wearing a watch only people in the know can point out as well.
The richest man in the world wears a day just Rolex as his go to watch $8k.
His sons wear nine million dollar pieces…
