@ Darkfather79:
Oh Wow! Very inspirational.
Which path (concentration/specialization) are you pursuing?
Can you please recommend the smoothest sequence, 1 course per 7 week? Which courses would you recommend for the 1st year? I dont plan to finish more than 4 or maybe 5 a year.
I want to plan my first year and want to start smoothly, keeping the most challenging for later/next year. I feel, the more quickly and smoothly I travel the farthest in MBA track, the more strength and determination I will find for the remainder courses.

mbapilot,
I have a similar background. The math requirements are really modest, and you'll be fine. I wouldn't spent too much time on prep. Every course pretty much gives enough of a refresher (or at least a 5min youtube video) that you should be fine without spending hours on review.
MADM701 and MKT701 are the two high busy work courses in the program. Take them at a time when you don't have as much going on and try not to leave them for last (like I did).
ECON705 and FIN701 and ISDS702 are your most math heavy.
MADM760 is more of a capstone, so I'd leave it until you're at least halfway.
If you have a free elective, MADM751 (entrepreneurship) with Meeks is a well liked class.

MADM701 and MKT701 were the first 2 classes I took in the program. This was not planned but I am so very glad I happened to do it that way. I would highly encourage others to go this route. It's nice to have them out of the way and then the rest of the program flows downhill.

Poll:
MKT710 with Darrat for AP1
or
MADM701 with Willaims for AP1
I will be taking ACCT 701 AP1 as well

Is it darrat or williams for mkt?

Do you intend to double up MADM701 no matter when you take it?
If so, outside of ISDS 705, you won't find an easier class to double with than ACCT 701 with Ambrosio.
edit: sorry. ISDS 705, not 702.

Brent, I plan on doubling MADM 701 ad ISDS 702 in the Spring. What are your thoughts on this?

Sorry Jeaux. I meant ISDS 705. I didn't take 702.

For those who are taking FIN730 final test, focus more on the long questions from solution and the concepts, may be its me but this time I got a lot less one liners straight from solution questions. I got one calculation problem as well believe it was to calculate net interest margin (simple Q), scored good but do think there was still some room to crush. over to ISDS705 now can take good rest

For the next term planning to pair the below, appreciate any insight on this.
MADM 701 ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAV
FIN 710 CONTEMP INVESTMENTS

perry, I assume this is with Williams and Hsieh?
MADM 701 is not hard but time consuming. A weekly multiple choice assignment through Wiley graded for completion, a weekly writing assignment based on the material from the chapters for that week, and a weekly exam. Like all of these classes with writing assignments, the fairness of grading depends on the "coach" you are assigned but if you stick to the rubric, you should get A's. To score 90+ on the weekly exams, you'll have to read and study the chapter material. Exams are proctored via proctorio.
FIN 710 is kind of the opposite. No busy work but it's not easy. He provides the class material and I found it to be easy to read and comprehend. Assessment is based on 4 m/c and t/f exams. They are not proctored but time limited. Some of the questions are tricky and you'll need a good understanding of the formulas to figure them out.
Both instructors have some pretty poor ratings. Both will have little to no interaction with students. I got A's in both but I learned nothing in MADM 701 and learned a lot in FIN 710.
You'll be really busy but it's good pairing of qualitative and quantitative classes.

Has anyone taken FIN 720 with Hsieh? How was it? Thinking about taking it for AP2.

Thanks Brent as always :)

Officially done with ECON!
One ISDS exam to go. Really ready for the break. My drive has diminished significantly.

Glad he opened ECON early and be done with it. ISDS has been pretty straight forward. Ready to be done with this MADM760 course. Enjoyed the heck out of it the first 3-4 weeks. It just seems so repetitive the last few weeks to where it just seems like busy work.
Good luck to all in the final week. Congrats to everyone that may be graduating.

Way to go Craig. 3 classes at once, hats off!
I took MADM & ISDS and it was plenty enough for me.

Yes, with when I want to finish this pairing seems inevitable! But good to know that the pairing will work! Thank you!!
