I thought the same thing. I am starting the program with ECON 705 in AP2.

My apologies for the confusion. I was last asked about menon. I should have clarified since someone had just been mentioned.
Eta: I thought Shaughnessy was pretty tough too.

So you had Menon for MADM 701?

I have been waiting to hear back about acceptance but there should be no issue with that, so i plan on starting in Oct as well and thinking about ECON 705. I might double up and go ahead and get this thing done! Just the thought of 2 courses, a 3 year old and one more due in December is a bit nervous. Any recommendations on doubling up with ECON 705?

I would say that is too much of a load if you have a full time job that potentially is stressful, requires work after hours, or both.

Based on this thread you may not want choose ECON 705 to double up with. It also seemed like classes for AP 2 were filling up. Looks like the program is gaining in popularity.

Today is my first official day in the program. Starting out with MKT 701 with Dr. James. Looks like quite a bit of reading an writing but manageable. I'm also thinking of doubling up in the 7-week sessions ahead. Would love input on which courses are the most conducive to double up on?
I wish the website had a way to be notified of new posts in our thread. I don't see any option for that. Am I missing something?

MKT 701 was one of the more consuming courses. Don't let my advice deter you from completing your program as quickly as possible, because the sacrifice is worth it, but I'd suggest the following as singles:
MKT 701
ECON 705
ISDS 702
To finish in a calendar year, I believe I had two semesters with only one course, so I'd recommend ECON 705 as your other single.
ACCT 701 is a great course to try in your first pairing, if offered next session. If you'd like me to go back and copy my program for you, let me know. Best of luck; it'll be over before you know it.

If ISDS 702 is anything to me like it was in undergrad 8 years ago, it will be best for me to take that course in halves over 2 terms!! thank you for the insight! looking forward to starting and finishing!!

I think you can set it to get an email when new comments are made. It use to and I disabled it at some point because it was a ton of emails.

Langston, please let me know if you remember where the menu is in this forum to turn the email notification on. I've looked and looked and can't seem to find it.

AmosMosesAndTwins,
Thanks so much for the advice! I really appreciate it. I'll keep in touch as I move along. So good to hear from multiple people now that MKT 701 has more "busy work" than many of the other courses. I was worried that all the courses might be this way.
That would be much appreciated if you could post the sequence of the order you took your courses.

My apologies, I thought you were referring to moodle. That's where I spend most of my free time and where my brain was I guess.

No worries, Langston. This is the first forum website I've ever used that doesn't seem to have a function to be notified when new posts are made. Seems odd to me as I consider that a standard feature. I'm not good at remembering to check when I get busy.

How was MADM 701 with Menon, what did you make?
Posted on 8/31/16 at 6:51 am to Paul Allen
So far I'm enjoying Meeks for MADM 760. Only thing is to figure what time is best for our group to meet. It helps to be able to incorporate and use my organization through all my coursework.

It's been a couple years now, but I remember him being kind of tough, but not bad and easy to work with/fair. Made an A. I only made a couple of B's and they were my last semester when I was just burnt out and wanted it to be over.
