Game over for WTRH!

Net loss for the second quarter of 2019 was $24.9 million, or $0.32 per diluted share.

Wall Street had priced in a loss of -$0.30 to -$0.21 loss.

This new CEO had better be a hatchet man. Need to drive some profits and fast.

Sounds like the new CEO has a lot more knowledge in logistics. After reading a quote from Tilman, I am guessing he directly called for the new CEO.

quote:

Q: Restaurants are facing growing pressure from online deliveries and the rise of meal kits and prepared meals. You recently invested in Waitr, a startup that focuses on food deliveries. How do you see this change impacting your restaurant business?

A: Home delivery is a problem for the restaurant industry. Too many people are trying to make money off of it, but the consumer is only going to pay so much. You’re starting to see companies and local restaurant people saying, “I’m doing this business and I’m losing money on it.” Remember, you’ve got the driver, the cost of the car and everything else. We’re doing all this business in home delivery and it’s not as profitable a business, but you have to do it right now. We tend to make things better and figure things out, and I think that’s what’s going to happen.

Thinking about buying a little as a quick trade. This move has to be a reactionary.

Got my cost down to $6.07. This is tough. Keep chasing or just wait it out?

I guess now it's just a wait until they announce going back to private and hope the buyback price is high enough game.
