Going well at the moment...just a short-term trade..

I sold a few shares I bought at $420 like 3 weeks ago for $650.00 last night. I'll get back in lower.
Not a bad 55% in 3 weeks lol. Wish I was older with more money. (when I'm right)

What is fueling this sudden, meteoric rise of Tesla?

I thought maybe someone raised their price estimate to 7k

Fanboys and idiocracy. I am an Elon fan but TSLA is completely overvalued and has been for a long time. We have discussed it here before but it is mostly propped up by fanboys that jerk off over every move and is more or less a "meme" stock. It's crazy really.
A lot of people that dont even invest buy/bought TSLA stock because it's something to brag about to friends in some circles. It's just too weird for me to risk money in. I made some money shorting it last year but will never risk money on it again.

I get it but I am not touching it because when it does sink back to reality eventually that will be a hard one to swallow for many. When that happens just depends on how long Musk can get people to keep propping it up.
Plenty of other opportunities with less risk on long and short positions in the market than TSLA.
Just my .02 cents and with that being said, I hope people make a lot of money off of it.

Part of me has to wonder if this is being manipulated somehow because of Musks interesting compensation package. Specifically the part about being over 100 billion market cap.
Probably not, but I agree the lemmings buying this are going to get burnt eventually.
I don’t have the balls to short it, and I’m sure I own a bit through various funds/etfs, so I’ll just keep being mesmerized on the sidelines.

I am sure similar messages were conveyed out west regarding real estate in 2007 and other bubbles before they popped. I am sure more money will be made, but I can't help but think it will fall hard at some point. If you have the appropriate loss order open then you will be protected.

Pretty sure we are way past that bonus mark right? I think it's just.speculation for the future.
And can't say I'm not nervous. I got out last week and back in today.
