Yeah—DRAM has earned the right to piss you off!
DRAM is around $50.75 today, roughly 37% below its June 22 peak near $80.72, and it briefly dipped into the upper $40s. That is substantially worse than the already-ugly pullback in broader semiconductor ETFs.
I was only speculating on this one and currently have less than $1,000 invested, so I’m not panicking. I still think DRAM eventually rebounds, but I would not expect a quick, straight-line return to the $80s.
The general outlook seems to be: expect more volatility, but if the memory-chip cycle stays strong and AI demand continues, today’s prices could look attractive over the long term.
