LORDSTOWN — Lordstown Motors Corp. has announced another round of commercial, operational and strategic development updates as it remains on track to begin production of the Lordstown Endurance.

“We are hard at work in the factory preparing to begin beta builds in the coming weeks,” Steve Burns, CEO of Lordstown Motors, said in a news release. “With this step on the horizon, we remain on track to meet our September start-of-production timeline while continuing to see indicators of strong demand for an all-wheel-drive, full-size electric pickup truck with 250 miles of range from commercial, government and military fleets.”
Developments:
Lordstown Motors has initiated the metal stamping and welding for the first 57 beta prototypes of the Endurance and expects to complete the first beta vehicles on schedule in March. The beta series prototypes will be used for crash, engineering and validation testing. The company also expects that some of these vehicles may be sent to some initial customers for their feedback.
Lordstown Motors has added to its long-term battery cell supply chain, recently signing a multiyear supplier agreement with LG Energy Solution, a global leader in battery cell technology.
Evaluation of the first Camping World/Lordstown Endurance Service Centers continues. In addition to Lordstown Motors-owned service centers, such as the newly opened facility in Irvine, Calif., the company is continuing its review of plans to utilize Camping World’s extensive footprint and service expertise to ensure nationwide service coverage for all Lordstown vehicles.
Lordstown Motors’ electric van is in development, with plans to be unveiled in June and production to start in the second half of 2022. Based on the Endurance platform, the van will utilize hub motors to achieve all-wheel drive and low ground clearance.
Lordstown Motors has been added to the United States General Services Administration listing, the first step toward being able to sell to government fleets. With this step complete, the company has started its outreach to state and local government entities, including the U.S. military.
Construction continues on an 800,000-square-foot propulsion renovation at Lordstown Motors’ 6.2 million-square-foot headquarters. Completion of the first stage of the previously announced facility, which will house production lines for advanced battery packs and hub motors, is expected in time for the planned start of production of the Endurance in 2021. When completed, Lordstown Motors expects the facility to be one of the largest of its kind in the United States.

Also, now that we're diving into RIDE as well as WKHS, should we change the thread title to mention both?
I don't think I've seen the OP in quite some time so not sure if its possible

Of course I love both.
WKHS - short term gains
RIDE - Long term gains
Although it’s tough, WKHS will also do FANTASTIC long term. Cannot go wrong either way....GL

Ok let’s be serious for a moment. WKHS sits today at $34.86 w/o USPS. imo - be prepared. If the contract is delayed the stock will dip......I am buying every share available with the cash I have available. Why? Because WKHS is worth $45 - $60 today without USPS. Only held down in this price range by those MEAN HEDGE FUNDS....GL.
AT - Can you explain in laymans terms how/why the HF's are holding WKHS back?

What leads everyone to think WKHS gets this big contract with USPS over $OSK and $F ?

Did you miss the part of the NGV BID that requires 100% EV on 75% of the Award. Guess which company is the only 100% EV bidder? WKHS of course. By chance did you listen to Biden's BUY AMERICAN speech last week? Well, that knocks out Karsan they are a Turkish company with a hybrid product.
So now we are left with Ford / OSK hybrid 25% and WKHS 100 EV 75%. btw - the award is valued at $20 Billion over 25 years.....game changer!!!

One word OPTIONS!!! The Market Makers / Hedge Funds are responsible for the OPTION PAY-OUTS! At all cost the MM's hold down stocks to avoid paying out option contracts!!!!GL

No, but I’m kicking myself. I sold off WKHS yesterday so I could buy more pins before earnings... hoping for a dip in WKHS next week so I can get back in

I'd say wait until those earnings are released before you start beating yourself up on that move.

I sold a few shares at a 25% profit today. After the AMC/GME shite show, Im taking my profits at 20-25% and waiting for the dip to buy back in.

I bought in 100 shares at $26, and just bought another 50 at $40

Never hurts to take profits, but I think the reddit stocks are extremely volatile and I’ve steered clear.
