As an investor of over 30 years, what's your thoughts on this:

It looks like it is beyond my sphere of competence.

I know people make money mastering all sorts of techniques on Wall Street.

I find it exciting to follow, but I’m not the guy that will participate in this style of speculation.
I use the term speculation (not derisively) defined as buying to sell higher related purely to the security price in and of itself.

Investing is looking for a business that you think has the potential to compound future earnings over time.

People lose Money doing either, but I prefer to at least have the ability to say, “company Z makes the best A in the world. They have Y sales and D earnings and pay H dividend. I will try to acquire the shares at a reasonable price by using a cash secured put.”

I am limited by my own experience. I believe many people will make a nice payday on some of these. Good luck to everyone.

My thoughts as well. Tomorrow should be fun. That huge buy at the bell on Friday has me thinking we have a hedge fund on the retailers side.

Something I just thought of, the CEO and board slashed their salaries for a year due to COVID and the shut down. They were given company stock in lieu. Ok so what? Last May, Forbes came out with the initial article that Amazon may buy AMC. Nothing, that we know of, happened. A couple of weeks ago, Forbes retweeted that same article here, and a week later, reposted it in France. Last week, the CEO and top executives were given substantial bonuses. CEO got $3.75 million! That seems ludicrous on face value, but......something going on we don't know about?? He got more shares and a huge bonus. Doesn't make sense that the board would approve this unless......

10%

Should be a great day. I expect it to dip a little initially, but rebound straight up. Big buys will come in later.

Predictable 9:30 dip.

A nice cup and handle is forming. Should shoot up very soon.

Your money, but I think you made a mistake. Doubtful you see $8 again.

The entire market is up huge, DJIA is up 650 points today. I hardly think you're some Kreskin with the movement on AMC today. Everything is up.

i am following this stock on stockwits

some of them posters thinking this going to 100 or even more like GME

i ended buying 6 more shares because of them and holding the line

that got me thinking it can get to 20 or 25 though

Big blocks bought at the bell again today. Someone bought $1.6 million of the stock in the last minute.

It's possible with a short squeeze. Float is low, that's why the strategy is to buy and hold. The shorts that are out of the money are forced to purchase at market price. People are setting their sell limits to the maximum allowed by the broker. That's why a short position has the possibility of unlimited losses. Right now, the latest interest rate the shorts are paying, that haven't covered, is right at 9%. Sooner or later, that becomes unbearable. Short sellers lost $5 Billion shorting GME this year.
