With so many crypto threads, we need more voice around businesses producing real products and services.

THC/CBD isn’t going away, even if regulation is taking longer than expected.

The regulation story is overshadowing the fact that major companies have and are continuing to underpin Cannabis stocks through strategic partnerships. Molson Coors, Constellation Brands, Novartis and Authentic Brands Group, Altria amongst others have partnerships in Cannabis. There is massive capital already invested.

With pot stocks down, this is the time to start building positions if you believe in the long term success of the space. “Buy when there’s blood in the streets.”

One thing I’ve been trying to research is the MSO (multi-state operators) vs the Canadian LP structures. Hoping to learn from some of you guys in this thread.

I think M&A is going to continue to be the next phase of the industry as supply chains and management teams are starting to become seasoned.

- Regulation news and expectations
- Pricing pressures
- Strategic partnerships
- ETF & Individual names

Who can shed some light?

Thanks for starting this. I’m going to follow closely as I agree it could be a boom. I haven’t done any DD yet but certainly will share anything I find along the way. Curious if others feel the same way about this sector and if any particular investments stand out.

Important legislation:

- Passing the CAOA (Cannabis Administration & Opportunity Act). Takes Cannabis off Schedule 1. Gives power to the states. Big excise taxes imbedded.

- SAFE Banking act. Has great support but there is debate on some imbedded social equity and criminal justice reform.

Been investing for over 40 years and one thing I know for sure. In Capitalism, the Big get Bigger! Look for companies that have really good balance sheets and a really good cash position. The best company that has these characteristics is Canopy Growth, CGC.
In full disclosure, I have a meaningful position in this one and have been adding to it aggressively recently . Hope this helps.

Then don't invest. I'm not sure where you get your facts on this. But, my wife of 40 years has seizures and the CBD from the plants are helping her. Charolette's Web was approved for seizures in small children. Tell their parents to stay away? , Don't stay away people. Use what the datta shows

One of my personal favorites. If you care to elaborate further I’m all ears.

Fully agree on that the biggest winners are probably in the Top 5-8 market cap. They’ve had time to build some infrastructure by this point and are doing something right in a difficult first inning.

Multi-state operators have some key advantages. These are the companies that are currently doing business in legalized states.

Like alcohol, the licenses are difficult to acquire.

MSO examples: Green Thumb (GBTIF), Trulieve (TCNNF), etc.

Not trying to push my position. But as the industry grows, the companies with good balance sheets with be buying their competition. Just like Exxon bought Mobil and Chevron bought Texaco when the industry was suffering.
once again, the Big will get Bigger!

Any idea why the sector has tanked so much the last 2 days?
