No, he is saying that in 40 years, you still never turn a profit.

Once you factor in the money you could have invested, it shows how bad of a decision solar truly is.
That's my understanding as well. Plus the things are ugly. I even looked into a Tesla Roof which looks far better, but can push $100K on a large home.

There are various reasons to go with solar. Major cost savings, sans massive subsidy, just is not one of them.

But with comments like this, doubt you’re a homeowner.

Insulting potential customers for being skeptical isn't the best sales approach.

This is one of the best ones. As if spending like 40-80 grand on solar to a company that likely wont even be around in a decade is a great alternative that wont even likely reduce your bill to zero or close to that

Solar is just a terrible investment unless you get some huge subsidies or plan to live where you are for like 30+ years.

We averaged $165/mo on electricity last year, this is not our forever home. Investing into solar would be monumentally stupid in this scenario.

You're just stirring shite. Provide the math behind your assertions for validation. You're probably using some voodoo math or unrealistic cost projections that will get shot to hell which is the reason you won't provide any material metrics here.

I just think this is a garbage thread, getting garbage responses that should be deleted or moved.

I work 10 days every month and I’m gonna clear 350k

And I’m not even the top rep on my team
... but-but-but, it's a great deal for the customer.

Meanwhile, if I was young, and in a situation where sales 10d/month were netting $350K, you can bet your arse my income would push 7 digits.

Why? Because at those rates (and as a simple salesman), I'd never work just 10d/month. EVER!

I'd work 25-30 days/month, and eat the 10d/month workers alive. Then, I'd hire the best of those as my assistant(s).

That's what's funny (or sad) about the fellow's claim. Even if true, it is not survivable in the real world, at least not for long, and it appears he doesn't recognize that.
