Give me your sales presentation. I want solar but don’t want to deal with the sleazy businesses.

I have a home in a rural area. 3000 sf and power bills is 175-200 per month. Why do I need solar, how much, and how do I pay for it?

So you’re saying it’s more than a two year payout. Duh.

No, he is saying that in 40 years, you still never turn a profit.

Once you factor in the money you could have invested, it shows how bad of a decision solar truly is.

$20,000 invested in a whole market fund that averages 10% per year (the historical average of the sp500) becomes $146k in 20 years.

Democrats would have to send oil prices twice as high before it's even something I would consider.

Solar never pays with current technology, but I want it and hydrostatic generation to go off grid

Solar scams all over I've seen. Payback periods of not in your lifetime, sleezy door to door salespeople promising 90% to full reductions of power bills and getting nowhere close to that, people spending $80k-$90k on solar for their house and begging the companies to take it back because it was nothing what they were promised.

Guy in my neighbor always talking about “capitalizing” his energy cost versus paying the energy company…in the next sentence he talks about paying $30K+ in cash with no consideration of opportunity cost.

My neighbor bought his home with solar panels already installed, and battery backup system to run the house. Was installed about 10 years go., the roof sheathing has rotted from water leaking around the panel mounting screws, whatever warranty on the install is irrelevant, the company is long gone. The battery’s will no longer run his house for any significant time. The cost of replacing the batteries is greater than installing the whole house NG generator which was just delivered.

I looked into solar panels. The cost of solar panels exceeds the profit saved and given by the electric company by over double.

Laughable and entirely incorrect.

What u close doesn’t really matter compared to what the lcca on these things are

It’s currently a luxury. My friend has Tesla batteries and top of line panels. He got it Bs a NG generator and paid 70k.

Your ability to misdirect and completely ignore the question works much better in someone’s living room than it does on the MT.

You’ve provided exactly zero substance in this thread.

If a life insurance salesman, a used car salesman and a solar panel salesman showed up on my doorstep at the same time and I only had 2 bullets, I would shoot the solar salesman twice.

I'd invite a Cutco Salesman and stab them all after the bullets are gone.

i do not post on that cesspool but if you know the OP's posting history on the rant and the same style here he is a hack. HAve you seen his claims on that board as well? He does it all over.

I defend most all long time regulars here on the MT because i know they are legit. The OP is neither.
