Yup. Basically they just issued Lanxess $18 million worth of shares to pay off a $4 million debt. Plus warrants at $1.20.
That’s some serious dilution.
More I read here the less I like. Think we take a hit today.
ETA just read the original loan terms and the volume of shares convertible was predetermined so most of this dilution is already priced in, which is good. Incorrectly thought that was recently negotiated.

Did Lanxess have other options for debt payback? If so, I am pretty bullish if they are choosing shares...

I went to Standard Lithium's website a couple of days ago looking for the merchandise department for one of those hats, but they don't have one. I did get to sign up for the email press releases.

expect news on JV sooner than later. Those shares that Lanxess owns, not counting what may have been accumulated otherwise, will be worth a tidy sum. Notice Tetra took 1% ownership for their plant and leases instead of cash. Pretty much confirms my suspicions as to why Lanxess has been so hush hush to keep this quiet.
