You're welcome. I'm a layman myself, just spend a lot of time keeping up with this one.

They've updated the management presentation for September to include the $225M grant.
In August, first production was expected in 2027. Now it's 2027-2028
In August, the capital stack pyramid said "federal funding." Now it says "government funding." (Is there state funding in play?)
FWIW The first slide dedicated to Phase 1A is now on slide 26, down from slide 21 in August

Great find. Hmmm. 2027-2028. This really WILL be a long process. Sigh.
Can't believe I've been in since 2021.

It really will. And I'm gaining confidence (right or wrong) that Phase 1A will be skipped, so not much hope of 2026-2027 production for me. The exciting event I can see in the near term is the East Texas resource definition. Then the slow wait for SWA DFS sometime in 2025

Now we are back to waiting on the royalty for the next bump. I'll probably exercise a swing position at that time.

Lithium market up big time today, and again we're treading water. I really can't say I understand it. We should be at $2 minimum after that grant.
I know I'm biased, but the street is drunk. Makes no sense at all.

Usual mid day lull. I think we finish the day strong barring any unforeseen market events.

This was a pretty good interview right here.....

Thanks for sharing. Nice to hear from the new CEO.
Not as nice to learn that the new Phase 1 of SWA will cost more than the previous SWA plan while producing less.
Previous plan: $1.3B for 30,000 tons
New plan's Phase 1: $1.5B for 22,500 tons
Does anyone know if any of the money from the Equinor deal would count toward this massive capex?

If we'd waited for the inflation adjusted Mintak numbers, it might be double that in 2032

So, did they reschedule the royalty hearing? How much longer are we gonna punt on this!

As I understand it
Dozens of landowners object > they are lumped into 2 formal objections > formal objection A claims the application breaks x laws > Standard and friends submitted motion for judge to rule on these legal matters before a next hearing > formal objection B claims the application breaks y laws > Standard and friends submitted motion for judge to rule on these legal matters before a next hearing.
The next move is on the judge.
Hopefully he settles the legal disputes ahead of time so the next hearing, whenever it may be, is only about if the royalty is "fair and equitable" and not about if such and such institution has such and such authority etc.
