General reminder that the demo plant authorization is set to expire in 4 days (Sep 26). Still hoping it is extended and a royalty rate for Lanxess 1A is attached so we can start selling from that baby.

Not that anyone asked, but I’m finally starting to let go of short-term share price. Will be at peace if the demo plant is extended without interruption and the DFS is filed before November, as ST checkpoints.

Will be pleasantly surprised if Lanxess 1A royalty rate is determined before year’s end

Does anyone in the know even know if it’s possible to be extended? Also, what good is the pilot plant if costing money to run if they aren’t permitted to sell as of now?

I know that the pilot plant has been extended at least twice so far. The most recent order was in Jan23. Royalty determinations are the only thing holding back sales from pilot plant and I just noticed that the Jan23 Order says the royalty proposal is to be heard at the Sep 26 hearing "or at a special hearing if scheduled by the Director." Hopefully the Sep 26 Orders will be released soon after it takes place. Will keep my eye out for them.

Eta-FeMike has corrected me here. Royalty rates are holding back sales from the pilot plant, but so is Lanxess' decision to participate or not. (Lanxess has first dibs on any sales from Lanxess' facilities [pilot plant] so their decision has to be in before pilot plant sales can happen).

Your investigative work, attention to detail and willingness/ability to share them are much appreciated by me.

09:49 Standard Lithium secures $50M in funding from GM to scale its technology and plans to construct a commercial-scale DLE facility in North America next year, potentially becoming the largest producing area for lithium chemicals in the region, while Chile is going all in on DLE.

Did I miss this or is this incorrect information?

Where is that from (source)?

Not sure it’s accurate. I know GM gave $50 mil to EnergyX this year for some sort of DLE project. Sounds like a mixup.

not as if pieces of paper from some of these institutions mean a damn thing, but the chap has not yet finished his MBA... I get individual contributors or middle management working toward an MBA, but the CFO?

Fingers crossed...

Long term fundamentals look fantastic. Short term, the question is where can I get the best price point. I think it'll just be averaging down for me (not selling and trying to buy back in lower). But I think the latter play is probably the right one.

Wish I listened to my gut more often.

Regardless, sticking with the strategy. Still not concerned long term. I've got other positions that have grown so I'm no longer overleveraged on SLI and can use this depression to slowly add to the position. Will just continue to add until the right news causes reversal. Probably will be lowering cost basis soon (maybe even today at this rate) but....oh well.

My share lending plan to use proceeds to add lasted one month. Since the shares got returned I've been using CLM and ARR divies to average down. Not much but at this rate about 110 shares a month. Been tossing the idea of flipping out of POWW if it an SLI meet.

yeah it feels a bit amateurish but who knows. I wouldnt be saying that had they not already hired a communications VP from a crypto wallet company.

A few months ago El Gaucho claimed he has a PHD but was working two minimum wage jobs in Abbeville. Do you suppose he was considered for the position?

It doesn’t seem like it would take a genius to sell shares in this company

The 25 of us sell each other on it damn near every day.

Thank you for your kind words, friend. People in this thread have taught me much, and it is a privilege to provide something useful to our collective knowledge bank.

Covid timing and O&G industry behavior aside (lol) this new CFO oversaw a swing of like $1 to $15+ at his last/current company. That's not nothing to this optimist.

well, ev247 buddy, today is the day for the O&G Commission hearing. I see that their website sometimes has transcripts of the meeting minutes. I'll be sure to check on that throughout the day. I didnt have time to look through past hearing minutes this morning but I may try to find those that SLI participated in. I dont know if there's much to glean from it but who knows.

I wonder if I contacted the commission directly, if they would be willing to share anything from the meeting?

That would be the best PR ever.
