And that’s my concern is if they’re going at it on their own completely then that would not spell good for SLI.
I worked with a patent lawyer who simply didn't lose.

Wild guess off the top of my head, but I would guess not. At least not near term.
Albemarle turns their US bromine production up and down to control pricing. I don’t think many bromine manufacturers are looking for more bromine at the moment. And that’s not really a market anyone is looking to break into.
Tailbrine will probably just be purchased by (or sold to) O&G for pennies for reinjection needs.

International Battery Metals is one of the companies I've seen mentioned in several articles as potential DLE partners for Exxon.
IBAT is located in Houston (like Exxon) and apparently has been operating a patented modular DLE plant in Lake Charles. Seems like if Exxon were actually talking to them though, IBAT wouldn't be putting out press releases that they are looking for partners.

Wasn't IBAT one of the meme stocks of 2021? Or am I thinking of a different one?

it wasnt a meme stock but its had the same trajectory that SLI has. "Any day now" type of thing

Looking at my IBATF stock, I can’t imagine anything good going on there.
Different company?
Different company?

I believe it's the same company.
Going through some of IBATF's press releases it sounds like their tech can extract lithium (chloride) from brines like SLI's does.
Expecting to finalize a partnership with Ensorcia Metals in Argentina where IBATF will "receive revenues in the form of ongoing fees, royalties, as well as a percentage of profit for use of the extraction plant."
Their tech may or may not be more versatile than SLI's...Mintak made it clear in the Don't Waste Water podcast that SLI's tech is not made to pick up and use on brines throughout the world but that they found the Arkansas brine resource then tailored the tech to work with it. I remember him stressing that the resource dictated the tech.
That said, I'm glad that SLI owns (or co-owns) projects and not just the tech.

Exxon does an incredible job of keeping partnerships and acquisitions quiet
Not saying that is where this is headed, but no one would know if it was.

Ibatf ran galvanic brine through testing, among others from 34 countries. I think like 200 brine sources. Plant is commercial ready, mobile and can be easily expanded. Currently in negotiations as to where to put it. Have partnerships with Lexi, scorcia. The price spiked when everyone thought Chile was a done deal, then they went to a hybrid national system of mining revenue, political delay. With XOM/Galvanic connection, could be good. As of right now the only pure DLE that is commercial ready livent uses mixed evap/DLE etc. second party verification. I think their relationship with escorcia/Chile is holding up placement of the unit. I think it goes to North America and I hope it is Exxon. New units can be built in 6 mo at I think 25 mil each and are interchangeable to existing ones so one project can have 4 on site if they choose. Could be THE first mover in pure DLE. (Yes I am in investor) SLI is my lithium baby though. That Exxon/galvanic/commercial ready IBATF connection is hard to ignore. Hope this helps!

This article has some information about the IBAT testing. Some positive points were mentioned such as acids are not needed in the IBAT process, but the average lithium recovery rate was only 69%.

The Exxon move was enough for me, I’ve been following for a while and have property down there, so bought a good chunk of SLI in the premarket, more than 10,000 shares so I’m in for whatever ride we going on here…

Blew a pipe during testing, now fixed, recovery much better. Shaw relationship, still double the recovery of anything producing currently. Lake can say 95% recovery or whatever, but…….

Those assholes better release some news soon though. I'm getting tired of this shite.

Amen. The longer this goes on, the less legitimate it seems. Exxon WILL build a plant there. No question in my mind about that. Tesla broke ground on a refinery already. And Mintak is waiting on equipment quotes?

ABML - American Battery Technology is the stock I was thinking of that got a ton of press in late 2020/early 2021.
I don't know that it was actually a "meme stock" but it was getting a lot of attention in that same timeframe so I mentally lumped it in with the memes.

Yeah, a real progress report on extraction results and testing other than scheduling another yakking conference would be nice.
At this stage it is a race and their are competitors with deep pockets on the track.
