Breaking ground in June is very optimistic in my mind with the DFS not coming out until Aprilish. My guess would be Jan of 2024. But I hope your right, I would like to see a return on my investment at some point!! ??

If I’ve learned anything about this company, deadlines are “rough guides” at best and completely meaningless at worst.

SLI is hanging down around the low $3.90's this morning.

I’m giving a big thumbs down to the Seeking Alpha article comparing SLI to Galan Lithium. The article doesn’t take SLI’s whole portfolio into consideration, doesn’t factor in the Lanxess potential to participate in the capital project and puts too little emphasis on SLI’s original very conservative revenue per ton projections.
I am some concerned about the possible overlapping relationships between SLI and Telescope Innovations, but that wasn’t mentioned in the article. It was mentioned in the comments.

Koch’s substantial investment and expertise provided to the project was not factored in either.

Is $100M really a “substantial” investment for Koch? They probably don’t consider that $$ value significant on their side.

Good point but it seems to be substantial enough to get them involved in the project as more than just an investor.

Still whoever recommended it would be out of a job if they didn't do deep research.

The DFS is a full engineering package with a termination period regarding its validity. SLI (and partners) has to make a final investment decision on the plant once the DFS is published within a relatively short period of time. 90 days max but I think it’s shorter. Once the DFS is published, it’s go time.

I don’t believe it is. This is a package that will give you realistic cost plus or minus 15% . The “ big components that make the project work have been engineered for the most part, “P&ID’s “ but where it goes and detailed design “iso”s or very few detailed drawing have yet to be engineered. This package is a “ this basic design will cost this much package we believe with a degree of certainty . That package is presented to the“owner” and is usually when the owner will say, yes we are in and approve financing or nope, not confident in design or cost too much.
With a yes, you go into detailed design where you get all the drawing to actually construct the plant. Probably 6 or 8 months is my guess, but I’m not sure how. Complicated the design is.
This is how it works in my industrial company where I am a part of all FEL and manage the
construction. Maybe I have it wrong though, but I don’t want people to think construction asap after the DFS is done. Just my 2 cents.
There is also a possibility they are in parallel paths with detailed design and the DFS. But that kinda defeats the purpose.
Hope I’m wrong as I have a decent $ tied up in this as well. Hope that all made sense as I just got make form fishing and had a few to drink.
They also release the new clothing line at this point.

Had to be Lanxess related. The German market was down 3.12 euro this morning on crazy high volume.
