And the purpose of this expenditure would be to do what?
As stated, to get beyond the academic sciency stuff and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the process works from start to finish with enough actual production to prove it to even to those not looking at it in great technical detail. It would also allow calculation of the complete cost of production and confirm that there are no glitches in the full process.
Run the production process from start to final product until enough actual product is produced to show a relationship to current lithium prices. Academically, it is just PR. In reality, it is something to build serious confidence even if X amount of battery quality lithium is produced and stored. It may not be income, but it would be virtually the same thing without having to look under the science hood or trust on a the leap of faith.
Then the only potential open question remaining would be can it be scaled up.

Prove it to whom? If they believe it works, and have proved it to themselves, who else really matters?
Who do they need confidence from?
And if it is needed as you argue, what if it fails, while at 4.00/share? Who exactly would that help?
That's really only two questions, my friend.
You and I are on the same team.

I wasn’t planning on buying more, but in the 3s I will do my best to add. Sitting at 17k shares right now and they are pushing me to buy more at these prices. My cost basis is in the 2s, but my lottery ticket may be coming in.

After the two proof of concept tests nearly two years ago, should it now fail to produce a sustained throughput, it would be the end of the dream followed by a plague of lawyers. I don't believe that would happen.
Doing an extended proof of concept beyond the previous two aging tests, would solidly demonstrate income potential and make great PR.
Having done decades of PR and PR related production, I can only say that making the SLI profit potential crystal clear beyond the implied science is what I sense is needed at this time. It's like preparing a demonstration for a jury of laymen on a matter of science, the point has to be extremely clear so that everyone can understand it.

Someone dumped over 100k shares this morning. Seems like an odd price level to sell.

This thing is gonna explode when the time is right. I have no explanation as to why we haven’t been completely wiped out

Here's part of the recent comments on Seeking Alpha about KSS.
@Rainer-63 "Koch Separation Solutions (KSS) announced the acquisition of LIONEX technology from Chemionex Inc.", the same company whose principal Craig Brown is behind the patents that $SLI has filed for DLE processes.
My take on that would be that Koch is going to do some solo work on DLE production in addition to their investment in $SLI.
Austin Craig
I think it gives some validation to the chemionex process which if I'm not mistaken Craig Brown of Chemionex helped SLI and he also helped Cypress Development with.
So.. Koch buying out the DLE process from chemionex = good.
@Austin Craig Thanx for giving me my fix. ?? Lol ??
Any idea when SLI is supposed to start showing sales?

I wonder if Koch is really trying their hand in DLE or if they just wanted to get that technology and shelve it.
I never really dove into that PR gonna have to research it a bit better.

I suppose that could keep the dogs off the scent.

SmackoverHawg, anything going on on the ground down your way?

Other than sponsoring charging stations and fireworks shows, my guess is no.
Record low daily volume, plus Smack and Gaucho are MIA

There was some past mention on maybe getting a piece of that 50 billion Washington is putting up for EV related developments. SLI is as green as green can be in terms of environmental impact. No strip mine required.

Gaucho was recently seen at the Detox Center on North Tonti.

Bump to move to the 1st page. Probably the only way to move this turd up.

Part of the problem is that the proofs of concept has faded into distant memory while testing and tinkering with the process has continued. Stock analysts in general want $ numbers or at least real potential $ to study.

Dang - got the SLI news alert this morning and got excited.
Pretty empty PR. My guess is this is just a response to investors getting restless and they felt they needed to release something.
Only thing of interest here is a negative, in that they once again missed a target date and still aren’t done with the pre-FEED/have not started the FEED. Goal is now by August. Which means that Q4 target for FEED completion and early Q1 FID is likely shot.
Oh well - more waiting.

Then detailed design will be 6-8 months. So we arent looking at ground breaking until end of 2023, but more likely 2024ish.

Geez that would be a crazy delay. If true we should be able to rebuy in the $2’s before ground breaking.
Posted on 7/13/22 at 7:24 am to Fe_Mike
Is this a delay? Sounds like they completed the pre-FEED in Q2 as promised and are now reviewing the deliverables from the pre-FEED. Not sure if starting the FEED in early to mid-Q3 is a delay either. Seems to be tracking with prior guidance.
Posted on 7/13/22 at 7:38 am to Beerinthepocket
Actually, I stand corrected. It does appear to be a 1-2 month delay from the anticipated timing stated in Jan 2022.
