Theres still the evidence of continued increases in institutional investors. This could have been a major shakeout effort. Looks like soros/blue orca did this with hylon.. only for soros to buy in big at the bottom. Im still bullish but General and Smack have way better records, stacks and instincts than I do.

Agree. I've done my best to try and control my own swings in elation and frustration, basically try to zoom out on the charts and guage whats changed or stayed the same.
I'm still playing the long game on this one, but recent events have peeked interest in other plays

Knowing your post history this is pretty rich. You seem to panic and go into crisis mode anytime this thing has shown weakness.

SLI is the only one I panicked over. Bought in too late
Lesson learned. I bought back in at 6.80 and feel much better now about holding long term

It would have been easy to panic last week, but my average cost is just over $3 so nothing but the failure of the SLI process scares me. That's what Hong Kong Blue Orca tried to inject.
Perhaps now SLI will pay closer attention to the PR side of things to prevent that kind of shorting sneak attack. A company still in the formative stages, no matter how revolutionary the process is a juicy target for shorting hucksters.

I did some reading on Blue Orcas webpage and see the list of companies they released articles on and shorted.
In many cases the companies releases thier response similar to SLI, and in nearly all cases Blue Orca releases a second article as a rebuttal to the companies such as SLI... so I expect a rebuttal next week.
Of note, Hyzon motors was attacked on September 28th and fell sharply, but in the last month thier share price is up 47%

Right, but he dang sure didn’t mind jumping in and giving advice to Jamiegla1. Personally, I tend to agree with Jamiegla1. There was a lot of pumping on this board and I had no idea the two largest holders had sold their position right before the Blue Orca piece and are now pumping other plays. Smack acted like he took it personally to the point of overreacting only to find out he’s actually sold most of his position. If I didn’t know better I would question whether this board was part of the pump and then Blue Orca’s dump. Wouldn’t be the first time (AT). I am not saying that is the case, but to laugh at Jamiegla1 was rich to me.
It just seemed comical that Delta, whose post history is riddled with negativity and overreaction, is giving Jamieglila1 advice on not overreacting. And when someone called Delta on it he was ready to fight them at Sonic like a teenager whose girlfriend had just cheated on him with the guy.

Fwiw I’ve always been better at giving others advice than following my own advice

Btw I wasn’t laughing at his suggestion that some people should temper their posts. I actually agree.
I was laughing at the fact that it would be expected to happen. Like any other board on TD it’s 1/3 good info, 1/3 jokes/bullshite, and 1/3 trolling. It’ll never change and you gotta learn to dessemimate it. I’m trying to learn to ignore hype on here and just take factual info posted and do my own research rather than take what is said is on here as gospel. I’m doing much better that way

That’s bc Soros Group loaded up on them at the bottom! I would love to know if there is some connection between them two.

yeah, this bothers me. obviously nobody is obligated to hold onto stock but if you've established yourself as one of the most credible sources of information, are influencing others, and own a ton of shares, its a matter of courtesy to disclose that youre selling
Posted on 11/20/21 at 11:59 am to jamiegla1
I agree. That info would have kept my losses to a minimum because I’d have sold at 10.40 instead of 9.30

I did, look back.
I said right after the Lanxess big nothing I was starting to take profits on my long term gains.
Blue orca played me. I rolled the dice and sold the rest first mention of it that am. After seeing it was likely bullshite, I had already sold and decided to jump back if it was seven or below. If anything, I should be thanked for stopping the hemorrhaging with my purchase at $6.75. Straight back up after that. I was ready to buy more if it dipped back down. I dropped $250k of my money back in. $80k of my moms and $150k of family trust money.
How much did you guys throw into the abyss?
I said clearly, I’m bearish short term and bullish long term. I’ve been pretty clear.
Pimping stocks? So bringing a $.50 stock to the board that almost hit $13.00 is pimping?
If me and general Lee wanted to, we coulda Blue orcha’d y’all’s asses ourselves and made millions. We didn’t. I don’t do those things and there are people on here that know me IRL. You can check the world over, you’ll never find one person that will say I screwed financially.

Look, this is an anonymous message board. Go read any thread about a single obscure stock that is getting pimped. It's always going to be the same when it's going up and the same the second it starts going down. If you are going solely based off posts here, you will always get caught with the bag on the way down. You will NEVER be tipped off to sell. Has there ever been one thread here, or anywhere, where the unicorn path happened and everyone agreed and sold at the same time? This is money, this isnt a game.
I stopped reading AT posts the second that first power point by humble came out, that was one of the most ridiculous things I had ever seen; they were gonna solve every problem in the financial world, world wide. But he used to say at the end of his charade, you coulda sold at a gain, you chose not to; and he was absolutely right. I bring that up just to post an example. I'm not saying these SLI guys are AT.
This stock is extremely unpredictable going forward here. I was trying to say that. You can only reaallly go off what the company is doing, and to me, it always seemed obvious JV was no where near us. It got very pumpish the week before the lanxess call. I started feeling dirty posting in the thread, to be quite honest so I chose to take the other side with my posts and throw shade on the price levels. It started getting ridiculous in here, and thats usually when it's not a bad idea to take some profits because we problably have a dip coming. I'm so close to long term gains; I chose and am still choosing to hold. I also have a price avg under $5
There's no obligation to be transparent. Just remember the handles, and what they said, and adjust your credibility as such. Thats what credibility is, it's backwards looking.
I'm not angry at the main guys, they brought a name that was and IS STILL an interesting company. The price is STILL at double to triple the price it was when this thread took of. I also choose to still believe most of it is in good faith. It's not a reason to buy something, it's just a little something on the side.
Just try to learn what you can, and I personally never allowed this stock to go over 15% of my portfolio, because I dont know any of these people and theres very little credible sources analyzing it. That vast majority of my portfolio is and will always be low volatility stocks. Plays like SLI are borderline recreational for me. I'm not risking real money on a message board ticker. And I dont have time to watch everyone like a hawk, I have to focus on my main source of income long before stocks.
In summary, I'm not trying to shite on smack and general, I'm just trying to make sure some of you learn a lesson here if you got burned coming in late. To smacks credit, he has posted about selling and insinutated it was recent, but you really dont know. It's a little weird for the other guy to keep posting and then say he sold most of it later and point back days and days. but again, you dont know if any of it is true.

It feels like a GD funeral in here, and we are still at $9 + at the end of the day.
Again, I'm not trying to shite on any of the main guys from the thread, I aprreciate them bringing SLI here,a nd much of the analysis is great and REAL; I'm just trying to make sure some people learn something. There will never be one stock that solves all your problems; dont look at anything that way.
A couple things always go through my mind when I'm looking at stocks:
It's never as easy as it seems like it may be, or else there wouldnt be a financial manangement business, those people wouldnt need other peoples money, if it was this easy.
And Buffets true as fk saying, “Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful”. It always seems to play out that way in the end.

I had a foolishly high % of my portfolio in this stock given the huge rise it had, and with the uncertainty following the Lanxess Q3 call, made a portfolio allocation rebalancing decision that I don't regret, even if, as I hope, this stock goes to $20+ next year. I still have a large chunk of shares in the company and want it to do well. But you can see that the tone of my posts changed here after the Q3 call as I was posting that it wasn't crazy to think about taking profits at this level, and that short term I thought SLI had more downside than upside. If I was to hypothetically post "SELL NOW", that would have been very irresponsible, as this is still a fine stock to have a speculative position in, which I still do maintain.
I have posted about my other plays like NVVE, ORGN, and ASTS since earlier this summer. Those aren't a "pump and dump" for me as one poster here insinuated. I have no affiliation with Blue Orca, other than hating them, and want to see those punks in jail for spreading lies as they have cost me and everyone else here(temporarily, hopefully) a large amount of $ in unrealized gains.
No one should buy or sell a stock based on any post on this message board, that's a quick way to go broke fast. But this board is a great source of picks that you should do your own due diligence on before you buy or sell. I missed out on DWAC, which could've given me 10X returns in a day, but you saw there was a thread on that one here the morning before the huge run it had.

General, your tone definitely shifted, and justifiably so. It's just that new people need to be hit over the fkn head with a sell call before they give up their pipe dream. You start to lose grasp of realism when you have a ticker going up 3-10% every day for 2 weeks, I personally don't think you did anything wrong or anything someone should be angry about.
