My guess is there will be an all nighter and a definitive response in the morning.

My old client who has been riding with us, bought a stack this afternoon.

I'm not overly concerned about PR, either the product is good or its not. If the technology is what they have claimed, the company will grow.
I started buying again at 9 and continued at every .50 on the way down. If it drops more, I'll continue to buy at the same rate. I'm buying with earned SLI money, so that makes it a bit easier.

As in you work there?

I hope to get a PR from SLI refuting the short report. It is necessary and appropriate. I am not worried about the Orca claims at the moment, but I will absolutely have doubts if management doesn’t address this easily addressable issue.
Also, the share price hanging out at this level pre-JV doesn’t bother me. But I’d prefer it over $10 if an offering is in play near term, so it would be nice if we get some recovery before then for dilution purposes.
Also, Mintak didn’t respond to me. The nerve. Like he had better things to do today…

No, with money I've cashed from this stock already

Yeah this is binary.... either Orca's claims are true and the stock is worth zero as it'll never be able to economically extract lithium, or the claims are false (by far the most likely scenario) and everyone just got a huge discount to buy back in today.
The irony is if the claims are false then the short squeeze that follows could send this to new highs, albeit temporary ones unless followed up with solid JV news.

Are we to imply that the JV announcement/lack there of, is tied to this blue orca business?
Posted on 11/18/21 at 6:00 pm to Shamoan
Definitely not.
The Orca hit piece is trying to take advantage of an alleged extended timeline for JV.
No correlation between the two. Just opportunity.
If SLI disproves this, as they should, the people behind blue orca are scum bags and thieves. Smart ones, and rich ones, no doubt. But scum.
ETA:
That being said, if the reported data has merit the viewpoint takes a 180.
Also, this could entirely be correlated with SLI and/or Lanxess execs getting in touch with a short company and saying “hey, we need to buy more shares. Look at this AOG report and short us. You make money on the short, we buy what we need on the dip, everyone makes money”.
Never underestimate greed.

With JV already, Orca would have been forced to find easier target imo. Overbought, minimal PR, no JV yet and no revenue equals easy target for orca
Posted on 11/18/21 at 6:04 pm to Fe_Mike
Even if this all ends up sunshine and roses and this stock is $50+ in a few years, these Blue Orca goons need to be in prison for this stunt. Amazing what BS they can pull on the short side and not get in hot water with the SEC.

Unfortunately, SLI’s team doesn’t realize the significance of being a real company and the need to be transparent. You will have to imply or assume because they are unlikely to actually tell us. Their PR team is pretty awful. I still think this will work itself out. Hopefully the lawsuits will be against Orca for slander that cost the company a lot of market cap and not SLI for fraud.

Incredibly hard to get short sellers like these on market manipulation because they can point to their “research” in the press release and their disclosure of their short position.

Wouldn't there be some legal recourse against these guys if it's all bullshite? If not they could always just throw bullshite out there, create panic selling, and profit off of it.

If SLI is the real deal, this would be the perfect time to get on the map. Blue Orca just put you in the spotlight. If you’ve got a royal flush, now’a the time to drop it.
Posted on 11/18/21 at 6:21 pm to SmackoverHawg
Agreed. Do your own DD, but if SLI has the goods, then they can unzip and drop the mushroom hammer on the table for all to see.
Everyone in the lithium industry should be watching to size up.

Sli fires back
ETA: the article doesn’t give any secret details we’re hoping for but it does lay it out enough to show the Orca call is bs imo
