General.. whats the percentage of shares theyve borrowed from you today?
Posted on 10/7/21 at 10:15 am to LChama
No change... 50% of my shares are lent out presently. The interest rate i'm getting keeps dropping a bit too, it's 5.875% now, was 7.5% a month or so ago.

I'm still at 100%, but I'm also holding only 3,500

ETA: In a surprising twist, all of my WKHS and RIDE shares are also on loan.

General, I've been thinking on and off about one of your observations - that the stock tends to fall hard on less volume than when it gets bought up.
I could be wrong here, so anybody feel free to correct me, but I'd take this as a very bullish sentiment. Means that less people are selling at a given price and more people are holding. Right?

Perhaps, I just view it as shenanigans on the market makers end. I do think if you want to buy big lots of shares like the ETF's do, then you really have to slap the ask here. But, it's still a thinly traded stock, so if you want to offload 100K shares all in one trade, it's gonna whack the share price a bit.

It's tightly held. With 142,000,000 outstanding shares only 1.9 million shares traded daily. No insider selling reported. Still a very under the radar stock.

The six month and one year charts are really starting to look beautiful on this one. Looks like a nice base forming to make a run for double digits next time....

For someone to sell short a stock they have to borrow the shares from another investor.
So your shares get loaned to another investor, they sell the shares short, hope the shares decline in price, buy back the shares at a lower price, return shares back to you, profit.
Meanwhile you as the lender get paid interest of the loan and the short seller pays you the interest. So for him to profit, it has to be more than the interest generated. This is also why it’s a short term investment and never a long term hold as the loan interest will “decay” any profits that could be generated.
It’s also extremely risky as the stock could skyrocket (especially one like SLI) and the short seller could lose a whole lot more than they originally invested.

Idk I might lend mine out if I could ever get rid of the “margin call” from the uplisting
Posted on 10/8/21 at 8:38 am to Shepherd88
Worth adding, you get the interest no matter what the stock price does while your shares are lent out. It literally is free money.

Sli shut down all facilities early today to go see the new James Bond. I saw a tweet that they are really excited that 007 is a lady now and that the future is female

Bid and ask are the current sizes and offers of lots of shares for sale or purchase (you can see the depth of these with Level 2 quotes). Volume is the shares traded today while 90 day average volume is the average number of shares traded daily over the past 90 days. Open is the price that the first lot of shares traded today transacted at.
