Who knows, perhaps accelerating Tetra production timeline.

Why the need for an offering with the Lanxess partnership?
What are the funds for?
To get Tetra going.
Lanxess decision may take to end of year, then they start building and that takes a year... could be a couple of years before any significant cash flow.
They don't want to wait that long to start Tetra

I think this is a myth, that shorts can drive the price down, but regardless 2,970 of my 3,500 shares were lent out yesterday. I think that's about the highest I've seen thus far.
It's not a myth. If I decided to short it and we sold all our shares at once, I'm pretty sure I could drop the price significantly. I'm thinking Van Eck may be playing some games. Be interesting to see how many shares they end up with in near future. If I had millions of shares, it'd be easy to manipulate. And you'd still have millions of shares if you failed and it kept running.

I keep seeing people say this... at what point do you run out of money like I did millions of trades ago?
Some have healthy cash flow from income sources. Some are selling other holding and some do both.

Any thoughts on today's craziness?

I think it's big money manipulating prices. Sell of enough shares after a big run up, people start hitting stop loss prices and it snowballs. Then panic. Then they buy back cheaper. Only positive vibes here. Had someone very, very close to SLI/Lanxess asks me about 35 times last night if I was going to retire soon or not. Someone heard and asked him why he'd say that at my age. He told them "He knows why and I need a good doctor." He can't say anything, but I'm pretty sure my ownership stake is what has him worried about my retirement.

I might need a good doctor after the heartburn it's gonna take to ride these swings another few years!

I've never gained and lost that much in an account that fast.
I'm not dealing with it all that well either.

I have a space research thread where it is mentioned... .
Out of my space allocation, I'm about 75% RDW, 25% ASTS. Completely out of MAXR and SPIR for now.

I'm taking this one better than the first fall from $9, as I just don't see this going to $5 again. Obviously, hindsight being 20/20, there were multiple major profitable flips possible with my Roth shares, but I still think holding my brokerage shares through all these swings will be the best course of action (as hopefully i'm locking in long term cap gains at $20+ per share next year which would be short term cap gains if I had flipped those shares). We are where we were just two days ago, share price wise, and we were all pretty happy then. Helps to put things in perspective.
Hopefully Tetra PEA tomorrow or in next few days will propel this above $10 and we kiss the single digits goodbye forever.

I heavily considered gambling with some Roth shares when it was in the 9.20 area. I chickened out but did end up selling my calls for a nice profit.
I’ll use that to buy back in if we see another dip tomorrow

I think it was a more general than specific thing. Tesla had hints of good news but also dropped late.

Sitting on 675 toasty shares. Paging Supadave once again.
Damn it. Now o have to figure out how to buy another 70. Congrats, sucks the price fluctuation though.
I did that with SE. Had to get my money together, finally decided to buy and it started dropping immediately. My 10 share purchase has since recovered but my timing was terrible.
