re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

they have to wait four months from the June PR to sell (if they wanted to) the shares they converted from term debt. So that would be the end of September at the earliest that that would be feasible I think.

That would be insider selling. Would be made public. I think Lanxess had wanted 3 months of data with SiFT unit running. Was hoping data SLI gathered in Canada would help speed things up. May be looking at 3 months from SiFT operation to see JV. They're still hiring.

The VanEck ETF has increased their holdings from just over 2 million shares to a bit over 5 million. They could be the frickers taking profit and buying more cheap.

You adding anymore down here or are you done? I’m just shocked to see this steep a sell off when the lithium fundamentals and other lithium stocks are doing so well.

I haven't added anymore. I think the biggest issue is no new news after uplist. Then the shelf offering and no news following it has negated the uptrend in other lithium stocks. Like I said, VanEck ETF had like 2.2 million shares not too long ago and now they are at 5 million.
Haven't heard anything good or bad. Everything is running so far as I know. I would think we'd see the PEA on Tetra already. Lanxess stock is up and everyone seems upbeat about SLI from their stand point. Dunno.

I've been offloading shares.. going to drop the house on it if it gets back to 4
Lots of support mid 4s though and this is likely big money playing the game. Always good to follow the big money

Not exactly sure. And maybe they won't wait 3 full months, but if I remember right, that was said late last year, early this year. Maybe if data collected in Canada is dead on with what they're getting here it can be sped up, but who knows.

That lines up with the last mintak interview expressing intent to have FID by YE... I shouldve read between the tea leaves

Vs the other lithium plays, seems like it depends on the time period. Yea, last 3 months not good. Last 6 months SLI looks pretty good

It seems he’s going to make us beg for it. Dang you, Mintak. Damn you!!

The frustrating part is that almost all the other lithium stocks have faced delays as well but they don’t get the 50% haircut that this one gets….

Got some information that will hopefully ease some concern here.
Firstly, hopefully we’ll be getting a PR soon. No new news expected, just an update regarding the progress of the SiFT skid commissioning and Hurricane Ida impact (or lack thereof). May come this week.
PEA on schedule and still expected Q3. Expect we’ll be getting that in September and the scope will be more extensive than anticipated. It is not a Tetra PEA. These economics are based on Standard’s rights in South Arkansas. Looking at a rebranding of that project. I’m thinking some decoupling from the bromine process may be in the works. I don’t know, but I suspect this may be a solo effort - gonna need some capital. Shelf prospectus, anyone? Also, we should hear about the HCl byproduct and it’s very net positive impact on the economics by recycling it to use as a reagent in the isolation process. We’re about to learn a bit more about the “technology” side.
The health of the Lanx JV isn’t in question, IMO. The final economics still need to be completed, with blanks filled in by the SiFT unit being operational in line with the LiSTR process and the Lanxess loop closed. Also very important is the hydraulic balance and the data showing that the addition of SLi’s extraction to the Lanxess tailbrine before it is re-injected doesn’t have an environmental impact (permit and regulation red tape). Permits is a scary word, I’ll concede that, but the process should be net green so I can’t see how this part would be a threat.
The SiFT unit does not have a “minimum run time” contingency with regards to the JV. Once it’s commissioned and running in Arkansas, that box is checked. I think they had to decommission it for Hurricane Ida prep…that is non-confirmed, just my hunch.
All in all, feel pretty good moving forward here. Very excited about the South Arkansas PEA; I think that will move the needle. Lanx JV timeline is really hard to estimate; if I had to take a stab right now I’d guess late Q4. Very curious to see the terms of that.
Think I’m gonna buy some SLI tomorrow.

Thank you so much for the wealth of info, GeneralLee.
Should we assume that you've talked to Mintak?

We have news!!
Update just announced on El Dorado project
Forgive me if I posted this incorrectly.
Here are excerpts from the update.
The installation of the ‘SiFT’ lithium carbonate plant is completed, with all major connections made to the existing plant, and the installation of a new weatherproof enclosure (see Figure 1 below). ‘Wet’ commissioning of the SiFT Plant is ongoing, and it is expected that fully integrated operations will commence during September.
Dr. Andy Robinson, President and COO of Standard Lithium commented “we’re very thankful that our team and operations are safe and that El Dorado was spared the worst of Hurricane Ida. Our project execution efforts continue and with the final stages of commissioning and integration almost finished, we are now in the final stages of running the only continuous, 24/7 start-to-finish brine-to-carbonate plant in North America.”

Great update, thanks so much for that info. Largely corroborates what I had heard as well. A couple of thoughts/notes:
- From what I heard, the JV completion and FID on 1st plant are still expected by the end of the year. In earlier timeline estimates, FID was usually pitched as being by "year end" while JV was mid-year, so I think we can now expect just a short time period from the JV completion to FID on the first plant, while the earlier timeline estimate would have had several months between these two events. So despite the JV timeline slippage, they may still end up at the same spot of starting construction in early 2022 on the first plant.
- I don't understand why the hydraulic balance issue wasn't known with regards to earlier JV completion estimates of June-August. I get that these are complex projects and delays with COVID and all are just part of it, but the main "ding" i have on management is throwing out those June-August JV timeline estimates on public videos and then not providing an update on that as we are in September now. Seems like it would be a very smart move on their end to do another Crux Investor video with the new timeline estimates to assuage retail investors' nerves.
Germany is up nicely right now implying a US open of ~$5.69. Let's get back on track and push $6 today baws!
