The house and senate have to vote on it sometime next week. It's not a done deal.

Oh yeah, forgot there’s no speculation in the stock market.

Honestly I would be surprised if it moons. I feel like retail is expecting it to moon (meaning it won't) and equities didn't really take a dip at all on debt ceiling worries so not like it's going to pop after getting beaten up over the last few weeks.

I was actually really surprised how well It did on Friday. Figured it may be a sign folks in the know expected a deal.

Was an all around weird week. Had one day where all my tech stocks killed it but nothing else, one day my bank stocks did well and nothing else...

Why worry about just one day if you're not a day trader? Even without a deal, it wouldn't be a surprise for the indexes to trade sideways or a bit down after the rally to end last week.

Next 6 months, treasuries should do well and possibly leading to less liquidity for stocks.

As much as i hate being negative the rise in the last few weeks seems to be coming from tech mostly. My med, reit, energy and a few other sectors stocks have gone down quite a bit. Not sure how much longer tech can get this going.

I added a few shares to the few tech etfs i own and bought a few AI stocks a few weeks ago but have not bought anything recently. I expect a flip south for the Nasdaq soon but who knows? its the stock market after all.

So how do you folks think the treasury is going to get their bankaccount up a half trill and how will it effect markets?

Dividend stocks got wrecked and several right back down to 52 week lows ie last October levels.

It pretty much is a done deal. Manchin got his concessions, Biden and McCarthy agreed on a deal so there will be enough cross-party support to send it through. Buddy in Washington is operating like its a done deal so I will too.

Probably flat because there’s now uncertainty whether it will pass.

Hopefully it fails, it is an absolutely horrible “deal”
