I just got this card and I am glad i did. It is now 50k bonus. I thought it wouldnt be worth it but before jan 1st i bought airline gift cards to use last years $300 credit and already booked flights for this year with them. The free priority pass lounge for everyone traveling w you, global pre check, flight reimbursement, and 100k made it an absolute no brainer. I wish it wasnt metal though, i feel like everyone always comments on it and it makes me uncomfortable.

As a long time CSP holder, you get used to it

DP: Albertsons yesterday.
Me: I'd like to purchase two money orders for $499.25 each
CSR: No.
Me: (Laughed. Thought she was joking.) wait.. really?
CSR: (actually seemed upset) Yea really. Your friend came in earlier doing that. Y'all can't keep coming here doing that.
Me: I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can I buy money orders for a different amount?
CSR: No! You gonna have to fill out a form if you want a money order.
Me: (thought about doing the form but decided against it) Ok no problem. Have a nice day.
She never even asked about how I was paying for the MOs. I didn't even have time to pull out my wallet before being hit with an emphatic NO. I think I'm going to start going with even $500 MOs going forward while paying the fee in cash..

Where are you located? I hate with CSR's act that way and it's tempting to explain how stupid they are. However, best to grin, say thank you, and move on.

3 Albertsons in Lafayette, two have never given problems. The third gave me a hassle twice with different reps so i just avoid it.

Question about the $300 travel credit for CSR.
Just booked a short Nashville getaway through Airbnb for $492.
When will the $300 credit hit my account.
Will $492 count towards my $4k/100k deal or will it be $192?
Side note: Next time you stay in Nashville, consider renting a house in East Nashville. Much more accommodating than any downtown hotel and only a $10 Uber to Broadway.

As soon as the transaction posts. So 1-2 days.

Currently the wife and I each have a CSP account and I have a CSR account in my name. Got the 40k bonus on each CSP and the 100k CSR bonus after crushing that minimum spend in the first month.
I've had a Chase SW card for a few years and don't mind the $99 fee to get 6k annual SW points I guess. I'm thinking of shutting down the CSP accounts before the annual fee hits, and holding onto the CSR for a while. The $450 annual fee hurts when it hits, but a $300 annual travel credit and 3x pts on restaurants and travel seem to be worth it.
We have a couple of young kids and don't travel much, but 1 or 2 trips each year to at least get the $300 credit. Any reason to ditch the CSR and keep the Preferred card instead?

Just got an email for chase ink business preferred 80k ur points for 5k spend in 3 months. Been racking up ur points with the csr and others. Thinking about pulling the trigger on this one. Just wanted to make sure I can transfer business points to my csr account?

Yup. I transfer original INK to my CSR all the time
Booked a 4 night trip to Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Jamaica.
SW + Companion = ~28,000 PTS round trip BHM -> Montegro Bay ($150/pp taxes
25000 Hyatt/nt x2 = First 2 Nights
Hyatt CC Nights = Second 2 Nights
Even though I probably didn't get the most "value" per night with the Hyatt CC reward nights ($375 value/nt), I didn't really have a use for them

Any way to use Chase UR points on AI resort booked through Cheapcaribbean.com? I ask cause the same trip using the portal comes to $2,343.21 and using the discount website it comes to $2,162.22. So about a $180 difference. Any options?

I just want to brag a little bit. I signed me and my wife up for the 35k SPG card last year and we both ended up having 40k points. Well we are going to Maui in June and I was able to convert the 80k points to 240k Marriott points and booked the ritz Carlton in Maui for 60k Marriott points per night. You also get a free 5th night if you book 4 awards nights so I got 3500 dollar value with our two SPG cards.

Looking for advice from the points gurus. I accumulated 250k ultimate rewards in the last year and I'm ready to burn them. Any suggestions for flights/airlines on a trip to Europe that includes London or Paris in September or October? Open to any combinations and departure airports, multi cities etc.
Is 250k UR pts enough? Where do I go to get guidance on the best redemption value?

Depends on flying out there. AK is the guru on flight rewards. If you can get help with him you're golden.
I spoke with a Chase CSR about how their bookings work for those interested
Hotels: They book using a partnership with some Priceline/Expedia type travel agency/company. I don't think you have much wiggle room on pricing
Flights- They book directly with airlines is my understanding due to changing flights etc

Can I ask a couple of questions? I hear folks who got the CSR talking about canceling before the annual fee hits the 2nd year. Is that just to avoid the fee, or after the 100K points, it's time to look for another card that has similar points benefits?
I guess I consider the card $150/year after benefits, and not that costly overall.
Was thinking I should pair another Chase card to go with the CSR, should I go with the freedom unlimited for non travel/dining purchases or get the Ink 80K points card for $95 AF.
Finally, I see posts about using cards to buy gift cards, can anyone summarize how and where these kinds of purchases make sense?

It's to avoid the annual fee. I buy Kroger gift cards if I need to hit the required spend because I know I will always be able to use them quickly

I'll be keeping my CSR. Not sure why anyone would drop it at the current benefits package, but to each his own. I guess if you can't make up the $300 travel voucher .
