Idk what happened here but I PCd my CSP to CSR in October. Chase never charged me the $450. Not sure how that works but Im not complaining
Interesting, did you SM chase in order to initiate the PC or did you call? I have the sapphire reserve for the wife but I have not shot at it. I may do the PC if I can get away with not being charged that $450.

I called in. I even got a letter from chase saying fee will be charged in Dec 2016. Unless that letter said Dec 2017 and I just remember incorrectly (idk why it would but just in case), they straight up forgot. But either way, its a $450 I was expecting and ready to pay. Kind of makes me feel better about missing out on the 100K. I would believe this is very YMMV.

What's the best all inclusive in the Caribbean that I can book with UR points + SW has routes? Wife wants to do a 4 night vacation in May/June
I was planning on 2 free Hyatt nights + 2 nights at Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall Jamaica (Already done Cancun Zilara)
I've got about 200k UR points though and not afraid to try something else if it is worth it

With UR you are limited to Hyatt. Meaning Jamaica, Cancun, Cabo, Puerto Vallarta. SW flies to all of these locations.
Starting June SW is adding flights to Grand Cayman. Idk about AIs there though. And although you can book a few outbounds in June, doesn't look like return flights are loaded yet.

I'm going to the resort in Jamaica in June. It looks pretty nice.

For those who have applied for Amex Biz cards. Similar process like Chase where Sole Proprietorship and little to no revenue works? Want to jump on this supposed 35K Starwood biz offer.
Thanks,
Thanks,

SO I'm going to go ahead and apply for the Chase Sapphire Preferred here in a few minutes. I don't travel too terribly much these days but the card just seems fantastic. Not gonna go w the 400 version though yet.
Is there another card that would compliment this one well for gas, grocery purchases?
Or is the CSP an all in one great card?
Thanks again

Mod deleted my post thinking it was a referral link. It wasn't.
I suggest the Chase Freedom. Google it. You won't find an application link bec its no longer offered. Good luck.

But definitely still go with the CSP as well right?
Also if Chase freedom is no longer offered how would I get it?
Edit:Which is the better one to pair with the CSP.. The Chase Freedom Platinum or The regular Chase Freedom?
THanks again
Edit 2: Was approved through creditkarma app in literally 35 seconds for 11K for the CSP. Easiest thing I have ever done

Wouldn't you know a few days after mentioning how I haven't gotten a Korean Skypass offer in some time that could prove useful, the credit card fairy delivers a 45,000 point offer to my mail box.
Going to grab these and hopefully be able to book Africa saving 45k UR.

Just got approved for Hyatt. That's 2/24 for me.

I remember those days haha I will never be under the 5/24 rule for Chase going forward but I've accepted that.
Go for the chase cards and then branch out.

Did the same thing to me the other day. Mods should allow a thread with referral links that people could go to for the best current offers. Similar to FT.

I just don't think I make enough money or travel enough to justify the fee for CSR.
Could get two SW for companion pass and the CSP.

This was my thought process as well but I am very glad I pulled the trigger. I will qualify for the 100k point bonus though so it will be way more than worth it. You can still qualify if you sign up through a chase branch.
Even without the bonus, you get $300 in annual travel credit immediately so your AF is really $150.
I probably wouldn't do it if I couldn't get the bonus though.

Starwood 35k point offer is out- 105,000 Marriott point equivalent. Seems like a good offer with no annual fee year 1

Get the CSR, buy gift cards to close the gap on your minimum spend, if you don't have travel planned buy $300 in hotel gift cards now and another $300 in January, sign up for Global Entry which is good for 4 or 5 years, and enjoy your 100k CR points.
Then cancel it this time next year.
I'll be keeping the CSR as my permanent premium Chase card, but there's no reason you have to. But not getting it at all? Unless $4k of spend in three months will literally break you, I think it's an absolute no brainer.

I'm not worried about the 4k spending. I'd put an entire trip on my card this summer.

I emailed Chase and they said they couldn't rush my card to me
Should I call?? I'm spending lots of money next Thursday!

Depends on which benefits you mean. You keep Global Entry (Chase just reimburses you, so you keep it for the entire five year period), you keep your 100k points plus all the points you earned assuming you have at least one Chase card to transfer them to, you obviously don't have to pay back the $300 + $300 travel reimbursement.

Disappointing. I relegated myself to a 25k SPG bonus a few months ago when they reverted from the 2 nights bonus, and I couldn't get the 30k offer to generate with some increased spending coming up.
Called to try to match, transferred me to SPG the first time and the CSR opened a ticket the second time despite my request not to. Don't think I'm going to keep calling with a ticket open based on others' experiences, I do see where the 'investigation' worked out for a couple of people.
