The jobs number is important because it's telegraphing what many already know: this "soft landing" has always been nothing but a pipe dream because you can shut down entire supply chains while dumping $2T+ into the economy and expect to get away with nothing but some "transitory" inflation. In other words, a recession is coming and there's nothing anyone can or will do about it other than make it worse by continuing to try to stop the inevitable (even if it's just constantly rigging numbers then trying to quietly edit them later).

You regularly post on the jobs report so you know the 12k number is due to the 2 hurricanes in the same cycle. Why pretend otherwise?
