I hit it at 28/29. Worked a lot that year. It fell back below that threshold but it's still real close.

I'll hit it when I'm 31 and finish residency. But I'll also be 400k dollars in debt. So at least I've got that going for me, which is nice.

How in the F did you get that much Med School debt? Harvard or Stanford?

Did a year of grad school at Tulane which was like 70. I think my official number is ~340, but by the time I finish residency it will be close enough.

Ah. Fair enough. You're at Tulane or LSUHSC for Med School?

Graduated from lsu-hsc, which isn't as cheap as it used to be. Every year I was there seemed to be a big tuition increase. No more 20k a year tuitions.
But I shouldn't complain, I have some friends from Tulane in the 500s

Graduated Alabama. Ski bummed / bartended Chicago until I was 26. Moved back to Texas then.
Started in banking then. Made $100k at age 29. Considering I was bartending and living month to month before(while having a great time) I was very pleased with that. Especially with the fact that I have no advanced degree.
I am now 34 and on pace for $200k+ this year. After a couple years around $150k+. 300k is a possibility in the coming years with new partnerships forming.
I start every year with the attitude that I want to grow and improve. The money is secondary to that .

I was pulling in $100K at 22 as an entry level internal auditor in Brusly. Hit 200K by 26, approaching 400K at 30

I hit slightly over 100k at 29, my goal was 30 and I didn't think I would make it for a while.
I work 40 hours a week (from home
) for those that keep asking about that.
ETA: I switched jobs several times to get there, as my starting salary out of undergrad was much lower than most people.

He posts in every thread about people making money. You'd swear that he believes it's impossible to make >100k.

It's all about perspective.

I'm about 20k off my goal by 30. But I really can't complain with this job not being stressful(less than 40 a week) and when the SO is making a little more, it evens out a little bit combining the salaries and work/life balance. The next job will clear over that which could happen in the next couple of years.

Year I was 24 turning 25. Live in a low COL area which made it even sweeter
I work more/longer hours than anyone my age I know not in IB and in a highly technical financial field. It isn't easy + stressful which explains the cost
