Friend,

Can anyone inform us at what time the ABNB starts selling? I have been furiously refreshing my purchase page, but the stocks still are not available.

LINK

This is a great discussion on the stock and they take into account the timing of the IPO in relative terms of Covid and the econcomy.

I like the part about comparing to other Hotel Chains, even though they are not one.

But it ultimetly comes down to if you believe in it or not. That is what I am using, after looking at the numbers, my experience using it and it being early in their business model. I think it is a win.

I don't know whether his claim is true, but your argument here is not good. Cutting costs (layoffs) helps if you're trying to turn a profit. Not the other way around.

I mean say what you want, maybe your actual books are positive at the end of the year due to good executive decisions. But going in to the year with a staffing percentage, and then laying off at least 25% of your staff before your ipo to keep your books looking better is not ‘turning a profit’ to me as an investor. It’s for all intents and purposes cooking the books for the short term.

Airbnb customer service is absolutely horrendous. I say this as someone that uses it on both ends. They have a great name and their financial future is likely very good, but from a true user experience their company is horrible. The recent layoffs are a perfect example.

Everything Airbnb has been doing is prepping for this IPO. I don’t know what it means for their future and I’ll likely buy some stock. But I wouldn’t bet my retirement on them.

What is the deal with this? Fidelity shows the price at $68 currently. Is this a solid buy?

I know its not available for trade. I just see the price as of now at 68. This is why I'm asking, because I have no clue how this works....

Looks like I’ll be sitting out this one. A week ago I was going to buy at $50-60, but $150 is too big of a bubble for me.

Should be anytime now. Probably within the next hour. You should probably wait this out a few months, but if you insist on getting in today. Your best bet is to put in a limit order at a price you're comfortable with.

Friend,

I set my max price to $100. If I can't buy below $100, I'll probably do a small purchase, maybe 50 stocks. At $70 I was going to pour in cgrand type of money.
