uh, see post above. Yes it does matter, because not all schools operate on the same schedules. A school that operates on academic terms and that is why the NCAA can't specify a specific number of hours.

Haven't we learned anything from ZVR and Colvin last year? I understand that this is a different circumstance, but seriously this is an 18 year old kid being offered atleast a million $. If he REALLY wants to play football at LSU, all he has to do is sign with the Dodgers and take the money, retire 3 years later and walk-on at LSU as a millionaire (assuming he spent the money wisely) This will go all the way to the deadline, and he accepts the money the Dodgers offer him. Book it.

If he's only offered a million then he wouldn't be a millionaire after taxes, much less 3 years later.

IMO Dro you are wrong but I will book it.

so if he signs with the Dodgers it will be Les' fault??
No. What I meant by that was that if he plays, from what I've read, he wants to start and we know how Les is partial to the upper classmen instead of having a true freshman start. It was like pulling teeth to have him put JJ in the game in '08 when JL was throwing all the interceptions. But if the kid stays and passes up some serious $$, he should be able to play this year and not just in clean up duty or sit on the bench. That's what I meant by saying Les better not screw this up. Particularly with JJ having trouble as of late.

How much do you want to bet Dro???

Bet? and just so everyone reading this is clear, what is Dro? Bro, i'm assuming?

If you were the 28th person selected in the draft by the Dodgers would you do anything differently? He isn't going to get a bigger contract by canceling his football scholarship at LSU.

...says the guy who thinks Lee is now unable to sign with the Dodgers because he is in summer classes...in spite of all of the evidence to the contrary.

What were Lee's grades like in high school? If he comes to LSU and plays two sports that leaves a lot of time spent at practice, travel, games, workouts etc. Do you think he has the abilty to play both sports and juggle the academics.
