Why you love LSU?

For me, it was the 2000 Mississippi State-LSU game. I was 7 years old and I watched the whole thing from start to finish with my dad. I think we ended up winning in OT. It was a 30+ or 40+ Pt game for both teams.

Why I love LSU is what the 1st letter in LSU means. Louisiana. While we are far from perfect and we may be looked down upon, I will never forget where I am from and Louisiana will ALWAYS be home.

93 against Bama....I was so naive I thought Chad Loup was the greatest quarterback ever.

1997 LSU vs Florida. I was 15. Why was it special? Its a bond I share with my father and with my son.

I have a hard time remembering a game before 2003 uga game. I've been to tons of games before that, just have a hard time remembering. I've been sneaking into the student section since I was like 12 and before that. Just can't remember anything prior.

The 1983 Orange Bowl against Nebraska. LSU had Dalton Hilliard, Eric Martin, Alan Risher, and Nebraska had Turner Gill, Mike Rozier, and of course Tom Osborne. I was 8, and I cried when LSU lost 21-20. My mom told me there was no shame in losing to Nebraska because they were always good.

Nebraska has been my #2 team ever since...

Born and raised in Vinton, LA...you couldn"t pay me to root against my Tigers.

1948 - could have been from 47 to 49 - memory not exact.

We played North Carolina (I think) - They had a player named Choo Choo Justice. I remember that pretty well. I was 9-11 years old.

My brother was at LSU at the time and worked for Brown & Root. They gave him some great seats from their bank of season tickets. We were on about the 45 yd line on the east side of the stadium about a third the way up.

I loved LSU from that moment - even though I tried to jump over a puddle made from cleaning out Mike the Tiger's pen and didn't make it = I ended up with Tiger shite on my backside.

2000 Mississippi State-LSU game

The most fun I ever had in the student section, including the 2001 and 2003 seasons.

'97 Florida game is the first I really remember. I was 16 and skipped out on the homecoming dance with some other guys because we couldn't pull ourselves away from the TV. Pissed off a few girls in the process, but it was totally worth it.

Nov 20th, 1982 watched the Tigers beat Florida State 55-21!

I was 12 years old and decided at that game LSU is where I wanted to go to school.

I am now a proud alumni because of that game.

Forget the year, it was in either 90 or 91, but LSU vs. FSU in Tiger Stadium. Loved it. It was when Shaq was in school, and I just happened to run into him as he was heading to the stadium and got his autograph on a program.

1st game...my Dad took me to see the LSU-Oregon St in 1982. Dalton Hillard's first game, too. I was 12.

To this day, as a 41 year old man, every time I walk into Tiger Stadium and I approach tunnel which leads to my section I get that same feeling of awe as Tiger Stadium literally unfolds before my eyes. It's breathtaking each and every time. It's why I enter the stadium as soon as I'm able, and I stay until the band plays Let us Break Bread at the end of each game. And it's why I'm saddened that in 2011 I'll only get to do it 6 times...

I absolutely love that place.

Funny...this was the second game I brought my wife to. I had told her my love of LSU Football, but coming from a tiny high school that didn't even have a football team, she'd never even been to a real game. We got tickets for the Season opener in 2000...Western Carolina and then again for Miss St. On the way out she turned to me and said, "I think we ought to get season tickets."

I listened to that one on the radio, and it was raining oranges. Fantastic game. LSU run D was stellar.
