Stadium capacity was 67,512
Getting splinters in your butt from the wooden seats
Going to games when there was only 1 bridge

When there were students living in the stadium. And you were one of them.

This is the answer. When you had dorms in the stadium and you were one of the students who lived in them.

They used to rent out those old cloth stadium seats.

When you weren't on tv every week.

That had to be awesome!
Can you still find your room in the stadium?

My cousin was one. And the bunkbeds. Thought it was cool, but it was very hot.

I started going in 1967. I was 15 and we just got our drivers licenses. 2 games a year. In 1980 , I got 2 season tickets after years of applying and waiting. In the 70's we went to the un-air conditioned dorm rooms in the stadium. A good friend stayed there. It was fun. I remember the So. Cal. game when trojans were hanging everywhere. They were no.1 at the time. I remember the smaller stadium and no TV coverage hardly. It was all radio. WWL am mostly. Loved it.

Not as old as some but my freshman class never saw a winning season. Yet I went to every home game and a good # of away games. When I think back, they sure did suck back then. It makes me appreciate the last ten years more.

When you could buy a beer in the stadium if you were at least 18 years old.

When you could stand up and cheer without some old timer getting mad

Before the age of high tech, cell phones, etc., you could hear public address annnouncer every once in a while Sid Crocker, saying, "Doctor, number, 1,2,3.. (or whatever the # was), please call medical exchange?
Bet those on-call doctors hoped it was not their # announced when these announcements were made, since it meant they might have to leave the game.

When there was no tailgating.

After reading things posted on the rant. I think you are old if you don't complain about a win.
