Yes, Stingley is a very good player, but he is a freshman. And he isn't the only freshman DB you will be playing. Herman is going to dial it up to target these guys
I sincerely want him to target Stingley. Please be that stupid.

Yes. As I said, we will struggle to run. We lack depth and your front 7 is legit. But, your secondary has youth and has been susceptible in the past (Alabama did a number on your secondary last season). Herman will know where to attack and Ehlinger will be able to do it.
A) Texas is not, nor will ever be Alabama (me thinks it better u try and just beat the best team in TEXAS)
B)Ut will NOT run against this D
C) DBU secondary does NOT have youth starting (less Stingley who says please please come see me), they do however have 2 first round picks roaming back there.
D) Ehlinger will be running for his life, I’m just hoping Chaisson doesn’t catch a charge after what he’s tee’d up to do to the soy boys.
E) and just for fun ur version of a defense doesn’t stand a prayer against our playmakers in space.
A+B+C+D+E=u lose badly, post less, like never.

This pussyfart short Whorn is more delusional than a Beto supporter.

You spent way more time on this than you should have.

Hey there Waco. Great post. Good luck to you and your longhorns. They are probably as good as you think they are.

What is the TD Downvote record?
I'm not sure, but this thread was the first that came to mind.

2. Tom Herman. He's one of the best offensive guys in the game. And yes, Herman is known for having his teams show up in a BIG way for games like this.
This simply is NOT the truth. At Texas, Herman has four wins against ranked teams at the time Texas played them.
Orgeron at LSU has 8.
Li'l Tommy had better pucker up, 'cause it's gonna take a lot of kisses to get his team to play big enough to win Saturday.
LSU is simply the more talented and experienced team. The only thing you guys have going for you is Ehlinger, but he's gonna be running for his life all night, because even you have reserviations about your O-line. LSU's front 7 is talented, experienced and fast, and a few of their backups have starting experience.
Depth will definitely play a factor, and that is where you lose. LSU can rotate guys in and out along the D-line, at RB, at WR, at LB and in the secondary. Texas doesn't have that kind of depth, yet.
It'll be a close game for a half, but superior numbers wins out in the end.

Word is Stingley is the best DB on the team (as of now) in a defensive backfield with two potential first rounders in next year’s draft.

I cant wait to see how Sullivan fits in at TE. He's going to have a field day with Texas' linebackers. Glad they didnt play him against GSU.

1. DKR is going to be rocking. Night game against a top 10 opponent at prime time. If this game was in LSU's stadium, I would be much more concerned about our inexperience at certain positions. However, I think our crowd and energy will really rock your team, particularly your younger players like your young cornerbacks.
The crowd will be most beneficial to your young guys and keeping them pumped imo, not so much detrimental to ours, where most are playing defense.
The atmosphere should be great though, I agree

2. Tom Herman. He's one of the best offensive guys in the game. And yes, Herman is known for having his teams show up in a BIG way for games like this. Simply put, we will not be blown out. Not at home. Herman and Ehlinger are going to dial it up in a big way, and I think you're underestimating Herman's ability to gameplan and to motivate a team.
Fair enough.
Herman vs Aranda should be a great matchup for sure
I think you’d have a better point if you mentioned Orlando taking ad a rate of a still unproven on this stage combination of E/Brady.
Unfortunately for yall, Burrow is actually the one running this show, and he won’t be bothered much by your young and inexperienced defense.
quote:
3. Your young DBs. Yes, Stingley is a very good player, but he is a freshman. And he isn't the only freshman DB you will be playing. Herman is going to dial it up to target these guys. Yes, they're athletic and skilled, but they are still freshman. Mistakes will be made. Blown coverage, missed assignments, etc.
Again, I’ll say fair enough just for the sake of argument.
Then let’s turn that around and say the same for Burrow against your young D (at every level).
Which D is less experienced? More easily exploitable at this point in the season?
quote:
4. The animosity you have towards Herman is noticeable. He used you to get to us. Simple fact. It seems a lot of you are still salty about that. Saturday night he'll show you why you should have offered him what he wanted.
Meh. Most of us never really cared who the coach would be, just as long as he came with an offensive/QB guru background (
). Regardless, no one on this board, no matter how “salty” they may be is playing Saturday night.
And again, I’ll turn this around and say yall will see you should have paid Aranda whatever he wanted
quote:
5. I believe that your new offense is fool's gold. Yes, it looked great this past Saturday. But at the end of the day, it was Georgia Southern. I doubt that after years of not being able to consistently move the ball and throw the ball downfield that your team is suddenly able to do so. If it happens Saturday night, fine, but I don't think it will. Our defense is more stout than you realize.
We will certainly see.
As for your defense, Big 12 defenses aren’t exactly intimidating when you play Alabama, Florida, Auburn, etc on a yearly basis
quote:
My prediction for this game is as follows -
LSU - 17
Texas - 30
Fair enough.
I’ll say
LSU 31
UT 16
quote:
I think your secondary has trouble slowing down Burrow and our WRs and that your offense struggles throughout the game. This game will do for our program what our win over Oregon did in the state of Texas in 2011 did.
quote:
As I said, if this game were in Baton Rouge I wouldn't be nearly as bold with some of these predictions. I can tell you that we are jacked up and the stadium will be rocking come Saturday night.
Here's to a good game.

2. Dave Aranda. He IS the best defensive mind in college today. Ehlinger does nothing this game.
Nick Saban...Aranda distant 2 or 3 or one or two active DCs because the older folks know what he did at LSU...it wasn’t Muschamp!

It's legitimately all Texas fans can talk about on their forum.

DKR is a joke. This is well known and doesn’t just come from our fan base. A mid-table SEC stadium is louder and more intimidating.

I remember he couldn’t beat Memphis when it really counted.

I hope he does. Here’s what you don’t have in this regard- Dave Aranda. And learn how to spell.

It wouldn’t have mattered. There are more people here still ruffled about Fisher then Herman, anyway. Also, this won’t matter one damn bit when the first play snaps. It’s just something for fans to talk about.

And LA Tech is LA Tech. There have been seasons under Les Miles when LSU’s offense couldn’t execute a passing attack against air. That is fixed. Forget how good GA Southern is, those problems are gone. The stupid penalties. The turnovers. Clock management. Guys no knowing what to do. Say what you will, but that is enough for this team with this defense to win in your house and any other house outside of Bama or Clemson. And in case you haven’t noticed, LSU has still been winning more games than Texas with a much more methodical offensive approach. But as you said, spin away.
I’ve see few if your brethren with somewhat logical takes. Yours is not one of them.

Texas IS back. Being “back” doesn’t mean you go undefeated. 10-2 still counts as “back” if you’re Texas.
