Y'all think Aranda has dissected BYU's Offense yet?

Me and a couple of baws are at the camp deer hunting and drinking. We are talking about how good Dave "The Professor" Aranda has been this year and how excited we are for next season. I can't wait to see him for another few seasons at LSU. Geaux Tigers!

I don't know but can we please immediately get him on the bench with the BB team and at least install a rudimentary defense????

I think he goes to the NFL as a DC over a college HC. Just doesn't seem to have that salesman side that HC's need. He's more of a strict tactician.

He's already making as much $$$ as an NFL DC. I sure hope LSU won't let him go to the NFL at least as far as $$$ is concerned.

while this is true, the money wouldn't be The issue. Extremely competitive people like Aranda want to prove that they are the best at every level, not just college. The NFL offers him that chance, while college does not. I have no idea if he wants to take a crack at the NFL, I'm just saying it happens. (Kelly, Sabah, Carroll, etc)

He's a better coach than Chavis so this isn't a comparison of that but he's got that Chavis vibe of being a lifelong d coordinator.

Nobody even knows what the defense will look like next year, so it would be kind of stupid to do it so early because he'd only have to do it again. Plus he needs a nice long respite.

I've been thinking this, too.
Seems like an NFL mind. He's only 40. I could see that dude as an NFL head coach by the time he's 46-47.

I met the BYU head coach today.
He was pretty cool. We talked a little smack about the showdown in Texas next season.
Besides vs LSU, I'll be pulling for him.
As for Aranda. Yes, he is breaking down the Cardiac Cougs film. They will be stuffed by our talented Tigers!!!!!
