Guys & Gals, it's a frickin' football game and Army is just another opponent that we have to take down. Nothing more!
I'm sure all this extreme show of appreciation to the military and patriotism bullshite would have been welcomed by real Vietnam veterans. Unfortunately, they had to endure major crap from the ungrateful hippies and folks like Hanoi Jane, etc.
Treat all veterans and active duty military with appreciation and respect for putting their lives on the line for your freedom. Remember, this military is strictly volunteer...they're all to be looked on as heroes.

Back in the day LSU's EZones always had the opponent's initials in their colors and it was a beautiful sight. LSU in in P&G on the student end and let's say, blue and red with UM [Ole Miss] visitor section

While enrolled at the academies, students have the rank of midshipman (Navy) or cadet (Air Force and Army) and are considered to be on active duty (10 U.S.C. §101(d)). They live in military barracks, wear uniforms, and participate daily in military training and professional development.

I took my little son the the Houston-Air Force game a few years ago. He rooted for Air Force bc if they lost they’d get mad and bomb the stadium with their fight jets.
