In a different telephone call with Dawkins, Wade joked that the player would be compensated more than the "rookie minimum."
Wade told Dawkins that he had made deals for "as good of players as him" that were "a lot simpler than this."
quote:
"So you said to me ... there was a 2019 kid I wanted to recruit, they can get him to LSU, you would have funded," Dawkins told Wade. "Would you want Balsa?"
"Oh, the big kid?" Wade said.
Dawkins confirmed he was talking about Koprivica.
"OK, but there is other [expletive] involved in it," Wade said. "I have got to shut my door ..."
Then Wade said, "I can get you what you need, but it's got to work."
It's pretty obvious what's being discussed here.

when they find the tutors Will Wade was offering up, this will all clear. The tutor was the guy Hawkins was talking about
There you have it. And we all know Lester Earl knows a thing or two about recruiting violations

That looks about right I’m just saying it was a quote and it doesn’t seem to fit the contex of the convo.

This is pretty damning
Well...maybe the rookie minimum is only 5 hours a week of sociology tutoring.

Nothing will happen to us or Wade in this trial. Now later on the NCAA may try to get us but nothing will happen in April. The tapes contain no evidence, circumstantial evidence isn’t evidence for those like roger who don’t know shite, and the tapes seem pieced together for effect.

If I understand the scheme correctly, Dawkins has this idea to start a company called Loyd, Inc. that would pay players throughout their college career (presumably using money paid to it by schools) in hopes that those players would use Dawkins and his partners as agents.
So, it was supposed to go something like this:
1. Dawkins shops a kid around to schools.
2. Schools make offers for players they want.
3. Presumably, highest bidder wins
4. Loyd, Inc. (Dawkins’ company) sets up payment plan, employs kid’s family, funnels benefits to player while they are in college
5. Player declares for draft and uses Loyd Inc as his agent
6. Loyd Inc. gets a cut of contract, endorsements, etc.
As best I can tell, the feds are trying to show that Dawkins was trying to bribe players and/or schools in an effort to secure an agent/player relationship.
Dawkins’ defense team is trying to show that the schools were complicit in this scheme and were the ones reaching out to Dawkins and offering him money to steer players to their school.
Basically
LSU very well could be the team that gets fricked here, but there's probably at least 25 other teams that could be fricked if the NCAA actually cared.
Frankly at some point Mens BB and Football need to be separated and be what they actually are. Minor leagues to their respective pro leagues.

Obviously he’s talking about a strong scholarship/playtime/long-leash offer. You can’t offer them anything else.

I want to know where the wire tap is with Saban offering money, because I damn well know he's paying players.
He actually gets players families lifetime do-nothing employment at Alabama boosters companies all across the nation. Even players who never see the field. That's how deep they go.
I know this for a fact. Personally.

Well if there was anything illegal and Smart was taking a long time to accept LSU's strong-a$$ offer, then you know some other out-of-state schools also had some strong-a$$ offers that were on the table. And you know it wouldn't be no-name schools. Good luck NCAA.

Which might give the NCAA reason to not push this when it's all said and done. If its too extensive.
I'm more concerned about Alleva and what he does if he needs to sacrifice to save himself.

Extensive? There isn’t a paragraph worth of quotes. Some of the quotes are added to non quotes to create a narrative as well. There’s nothing here.

Hopefully he sacrifices himself. He can die for Will Wade's sins and all will be forgiven.

Get used to it. Every time LSU basketball does something good from now until the end of the tournament, another story will be released in an attempt to harm the program.

You don’t think saying he’ll be getting more than the rookie minimum is anything?

That is EASILY the most damning thing I've read. It actually speaks of the "offer" in terms of financial compensation.
