Means 1 of 2 things (in order of likelihood):

A) Because of jumping to #3 in recruiting the NCAA strongly suspects something and the lack of on-the-record information furthers the suspicions, so the investigation continues.

B) Somebody complained. In the end, all that is the same as (a) but just has a different genesis.

The 'gold standard' is to document everything, every visit, every contact, every call, and every meal. To lack that documentation is going to raise NCAA eyebrows and we lack the ability to 'prove the negative' and thus put suspicions to bed.

My biggest issue: if there's a lack of documentation, Wade better go tell Orgeron how he's getting around our over-cautious compliance dept. That'd be some good shite to know right there.

If what you're saying is true then I'm glad Wade is clean. I just find it hard to believe UNC is trying to pay recruits right after a 5+ year investigation. If they are that's just stupid on their part.

Which would be normal, particularly if someone accused him of something shady spanning the transition from VCU to LSU. Perhaps your wording did not represent your meaning, the review may include part of his time at VCU but started while he was at LSU. And appears to not have entered any sort of serious phase with no on the record allegations.
