Some of you have been ruined by the last couple of coaches.

This is a completely different energy and team. I expect some losses, but this will be a different team starting this year. These guys actually move the ball and play defense. They get excited for other teammates who score.

People act like we weren't in many of the games we lost recent years. We just could not finish with leads or stop anyone because our coaches had no energy and the schemes under JJ were non-existent in crunch time. We have a few stars in the making right now. Samson, Mays, Waters and even a couple that haven't made their presence felt yet.

Will be ranked real soon if they go 3-0 in Maui (not likely)

Highly unlikely, IMO.

I think we go 1-2 in Maui and 9-3 in OOC then 6-12 in SEC for a 15-15 record. 1-1 in SEC Ty to end up 16-16.

The ascent will begin in 2018-19. We'll be SEC
contenders from that year on, under CWW.

Will not go 3-0 in Maui and will not be ranked this year. We don't have enough talent at the 4 or 5. The difference this year is I dont expect us to get blown out very often and I think we will upset a few teams. No one will want to play is in the sec tourney or the NIT.

seriously doubt it. Probably still one of the worse teams in the SEC, and the SEC isn't known as a basketball league despite last year's tourney runs. I'd like to think we can challenge for an NIT bid, though.

No. Much improved. Like the trajectory. Not enough fire power. Still having some trouble defending. The defensive effort we will need to give under Wade will have to be built brick by brick.

Maui is going to be a good measuring stick on exactly where this team is. Yes, they have looked good in the first two games and are clearly playing with a lot more intensity and pride. But the level of competition has been pretty bad. If they come out with a couple of wins in Hawaii, then there might be something to talk about.

It sure would be great, but trying times are ahead for this team when they start playing bigger, more physical opponents.

Nope, but it's still fun watching them improve.

Mayes and Waters are good

Sampson has spotty shooting but athletic

Reith is too weak down low (biggest weakness)

Sims is above avg but not dominate

Bench is solid, not a big drop at all.

20% chance at tourney bid. SEC gets 6 teams.
