agree big league....They need to wreck that S&C dept and quit AVOIDING THE OBVIOUS. WE ARE THE LEAST PHYSICAL TEAM IN THE SEC. LACK OF CONDITIONING LEADS TO INJURIES........AND LOSSES!!!!!

It’s just my opinion but I think the team is fine in terms of running wind sprints and lifting weights. Where we are truly lacking is actual football conditioning: blocking, shedding blocks, cutting, start/stop accelerations.

I've talked to a player all year. It's not O. According to him the team still really likes O, do not like the coordinators. Nor Max a lot either.

If this is the case, don’t we think this is a huge issue? There is a rumor the past 2 years that they love O, but hate the coordinators. Ummm is it because the coordinators hold them accountable, then O undermines the coordinators and let’s them get away with whatever?

Just spitballing here, but are the players lacking the self awareness to see that what O is doing isn’t working?

Holy shite, I want to believe this so badly. If true, and LSU actually starts Derrick Davis and Sage Ryan, I will straight up believe a defensive turnaround is possible. These two are a couple of stud DB's.

This is Spring Game level optimism.

Unless Max is a bad locker room guy, there’s no reason to dislike him. He’s been put in a really bad spot by the coaches. Poor protection, no run game, injury to his best weapon. I’ve heard the players like Jones, so you must be talking about Peetz. If they have a problem with Peetz, they should have a problem with O. All of their problems are directly tied to O. Not sure why they would give him a pass.

Ok, I'm all for defending our players in our shite storm, but this is too many injuries to be a coincidence.....we're now up to 2 starting WR, basically the whole starting D line, both starting corners, starting safeties.....am I missing anyone. I think at this point we literally have more starters injured than playing. It ain't all players soft opting out, but it ain't all injuries either.....I'm sorry but there's just no way

I completely understand why the team likes Orgeron, but the problem is, coaches don't want anything to do with him OR he simply doesn't know how to evaluate good ones. If they don't like the coordinators, well, that's a reflection of Orgeron's leadership as head coach. You can't like Orgeron and dislike the coordinators he chooses, they are simply a reflection of him. The coordinators either work out or they don't and everyone is gone. Orgeron is not getting another year to play with finding new coordinators.

I took what he said as a refutation that the players have quit on O, and all these injuries are fake (which is ridiculous). Not that they are taking some sort of stand on him deserving to come back next year.

You’re looking at this from an outside, macro level. These guys don’t think like that. They are thinking about their personal relationships, the micro level. I have no idea if what this dude is saying is legit, but if they really don’t like Max, I’m sure it’s because of his personality more than his play.

I wholeheartedly believe that a higher power was listening when we showed up in droves saying things like "I'd sacrifice the next ___ seasons if we can pull off the best season ever" We all said something similar whether on TD or in casual convo with friends and family.

There’s absolutely no way every one of these injuries is legit.

well then said player is stupid. Played with plenty of guys in HS i couldnt stand off the field but i sure as hell wanted them next to me on the field because they gave us the best chance to win.

players are dumb.

This isn't a BS injury. He was rolled up on by TDP last week. Our receivers weren't used ti one of our RB's getting past the LOS

Who gives a shite when LSU has had the worst safety play the last two years they could possibly have. Now, you've got a chance with a 5* Sage Ryan and a high 4* Derrick Davis to get on the field. These two are true freshmen but it's not as if anyone else is doing anything back there. Ward is just too small against physical RB's to come up and make tackles, Davis might be able to come up and hit somebody. Ryan is more of a corner/nickel player but great athlete and not afraid of contact, good against the pass and fast to the ball.

For all we know, Davis isn't even going to play over Toles/Ward/Lewis, but he's the most talented pure safety LSU has signed in a long time when you consider Stevens was a S/LB tweener and Kelvin Joseph was a cover corner. Davis is a thumper at safety, hopefully he's comfortable enough to get on the field because he could end up being a Delpit type impact player at safety.

It's easy to forget about Derrick Davis because he hasn't played much but he was LSU's third highest rated recruit in the cycle, ahead of other players like Deion Smith, Hilton, Thomas Jr., Dellinger, Goodwin, etc. Only Maason Smith and Sage Ryan were rated higher.

"Safety build with body type to carry 210 pounds. Physical, tough and plays nasty. Has man-cover ability. Mentality to play in box and runs well enough to play free safety. Nickel ability. Capable blitzer. Instinctual player who tracks ball well. Good change of direction. Strong on jams and re-routes well. Shows good acceleration and closing speed. Strong tackler. Must continue to add upper body strength. Refining back pedal and adding hip flexibility important. Ability to play for elite program as true freshman. Second day NFL draft pick potential."
