My boy works for a airline. We're going for $100 by plane if there are seats available. Thank you for cancelling your airline tickets in advance.

What's unfortunate is that the day will come when he will realize his stance was stupid and then he will regret all the years he could have been seeing the world instead of sticking to his small little insular world.

traveling is one of my top 3 favorite things to do.

i dont see why it hurts your feelings that Seattle isnt on my list of places to go

as far as being biased, you live in the area. Yet your "travel guide" really doesnt even paint the city in the best picture. I guess you're just being honest, but it doesn't make me want to go there and see another big city.

Says the guy who says that all major cities are the same?

I could care less about the specific city you are talking about (you're NYC comments were even more outrageous). I just think it's weird that a young person wouldn't go out of their way to see far flung parts of the country, particularly if they happened to overlap with LSU football. I can barely think of anything better than that combo.

Just seems really lazy on your part if you think Seattle is generically comparable to random other cities. In any event, I would put together a guide for traveling LSU fans in any city I happened to live in. I haven't lived here very long and don't have plans to be here forever. Trust me, I'm no Seattle homer.

LE, thanks for staying ignorant.

Please stay far, far away from our fair city and enjoy all that Lockport has to offer, which is a lot. The rest of y'all may come on up and have a great time!

what can i say, im not a big sight seer. Monuments, historic landmarks, etc....gets old.

like vacations that are either a)quiet and secluded or b)active and fun

which were what, exactly?????

If UW was worth a damn, it would absolutely be worth it to me. But they are one of the worst teams, if not the worst, in any BCS conference.

But like I said, Seattle isnt alluring enough to me to make the trip to see a bad football game

maybe it is lazy, because ive only talked to friend about it and read your guide.

i came to teh conclusion:

-planes landing on lakes
-moutains
-some type of market
-food
-bars
-lame people
-water tour/fishing
-space needle

Here's how easy this is to do for your (and my) beloved NOLA:

- casino
- historic homes
- some type of quarter
- food
- bars
- loud people
- riverboat cruise
- Jackson Square

sounds pretty meh to me as well when you put it like that.

without having been to Seattle, i can still comfortably say New Orleans is much more interesting place to visit than Seattle.

then again i can see how it would fall into just another big city category. Not every place is for everyone.

Who wants to travel two time zones to watch a game that will be over before halftime?

I completely understand why people are backing out.

Personally, I think it's a little over the top, but to each their own.
