Good deal.

I looked at the private air charter trip for GA....overall looks to be a good deal. RT 495 out and back in the same day and the other transportation needs so that alleviates the rental car need.

Rag, there might be 50 tickets available on the Exchange. You're making it sound like a mass exodus of people are bailing. What it looks like is people who waited too long to book flights and decided the now $500 or so price tag is not worth it...

Judging by the report from the Seattle Times last week that 3,500 tickets during the public sale went to LSU cohorts...I'd say there are still tons of people going.

There will be more LSU fans in Seattle than Starkville this year.

there's the market, the experience music project (which is an awesome place if you like grunge or hendrix), the public library (which is pretty awesome believe it or not), the space needle, columbia center, riding the ducks, pioneer square, tons of bars, restaurants, etc. if you're into outdoor stuff there are places to rent kayaks actually in the city. there is also a ton of hiking within a short driving distance, and if you're not interested in driving there are ferries that you can take from downtown seattle to some pretty cool little islands and either rent a bike or walk around all day. there's also a little mini wine country out here with about 6 or 7 wineries and red hook brewery all within walking distance of each other. it's a great place to kill an entire day, beautiful area. jersey tiger covered basically everything imaginable in his thread at the top of the page.

sounds like a normal major city

We're doing it in reverse. Flying into San Fran on 8/31 and driving up the coast to Seattle.

Tigahrag,
Just for the record, I work with & associate with many ATM fans/FS who have NEVER been to an away Ag game. All that counts is who & how many are there on game day. Let's just wait & see.

That trip is worth it at any reasonable cost.
Amazing part of the country. If you can do
Vancouver B.C. and Vancouver Island thats really something. I like Van. Island as well as Hawaii. Different with mountains and great international bars etc.. just really nice. Wish I was going. Damn.

I'm not saying there will be 50,000 people.

7,000 tickets came from LSU
3,500 from UW

So 10,500 tickets, and even if 200 tickets have been posted on the Exchange, that's only 2% of the entire cohort.

These people are also posting them on an LSU board with hopes that LSU fans will replace them for the trip. So if these tickets are sold (at any cost)...there is no "bailout" as you suggest. LSU fans are still going.

ETA: I always enjoy your posting, but your thread titles have always been attention grabbing and sometimes, in this case, its become sensational...

What bothers you more- the Great Baton Rouge Storm of 2009 or people bailing on the Udub trip?

Made that kind of trip years ago. Great one. Sedona, Colorado, and a few more stops. Enjoy it.

Everyone in our group are still in, we do have an extra ticket. My sister asked for 3 and the girl gave us 4.....
