I think borderline guys will depend fully on NIL. If they can get paid well while possibly improving their draft stock to make more money then I think you’ll see some guys stay.

That kid will light up the NFL. Been a minute since LSU had a tight end like that young man. With the right QB he will look a lot like Gronk and Kelsey.

He isn't going to get taller or faster. He is going to go in late Rd 2 or Rd 3. That isn't likely to improve in a year. I believe he is going to be an excellent NFL TE. Great hands and good route runner. Reminds me a Laporta for Detroit. He is probably gone.

The draft goes by recent bias. If we make a deep playoff run/natty, he could easily go late 1st.

I guess the same could be said about Nuss?

MT is not as fast as Kelce and not as big and physical as Gronk
he is not as good a blocker as Kittle

those three are elite level

I think MTs Pro Comp is Zach Ertz with Washington, which is pretty damn good

What would be the advantage for him to stay another year?

Would love for Mason Taylor to return. But don’t think it happens. The kid is NFL ready and is already a top 3 TE this draft.

Tight ends aren’t drafted that early anyways unless you are a Brock Bowers type of player. So not sure how much his stock will improve with another year.

I don’t think he helps his position by coming back. Obviously his family doesn’t need the money, but unless he just really loves LSU or feels he is playing for a championship I don’t see him returning.

I do think he comes back, but I guarantee you that his dads’ monetary gains have nothing to do with his decision.

To say they have absolutely nothing to do with the decision is wrong. I’d offer, at the least, it removes what has historically been a factor for others with a similar decision.

It may lessen the need to get to the NFL
as quickly as possible, to make the money as soon as possible and also get his years in the pension system as quickly as possible.

He has been as advertised from the beginning. He's clutch and is a very good receiving TE who always seems to get open. Would be awesome if they could get him back since he operates like a possession WR at times when we need to move the chains.

He may actually want to complete his degree or get a Masters degree.

I’m sure NIL is paying him handsomely.
