His dad is rich, so it’s not like he’s chasing money. I feel like he could improve his draft stock a little more and break more records.
He could very well be the #1 TE in college next year.

Never really thought about it in relation to his dad’s success. I could see him coming back

If he does leave, at least Pimpton looked good yesterday for us

I want to believe, but I can't believe he would. He has proven himself as a NFL quality TE.

I'd nuss comes back I could see Taylor coming back too.

They will be adding another tight end either way.

Pimp and Green are not great blockers.

I think Taylor will come back if the draft numbers make sense. There is a good crop of TE that could be going to the draft.

He's gone. He's a second day pick and will play in the NFL for a decade or more.

I hope he comes back... but i think his draft stock is as high as it's going to get. He's probably a late 2nd/early 3rd Rd prospect.

What round is he expected to be drafted if he does declare for the NFL?

I do think he comes back, but I guarantee you that his dads’ monetary gains have nothing to do with his decision.

I agree. Not sure what else he can improve on.

He’s TE3 / TE4 in most expert opinions, he’s gone

I think him staying would depend on who else might stay and would dedicate themselves to making a run for the playoffs and a possible NC. To some of these guys it is not just the money, but the prestige of saying they won a NC.

I think he is gone. If he gets a high draft grade he won’t risk the injury chances

I have been looking at a few sources but what are the mock draft grades for Nuss, Mason, Emory, where is Perkins right now given his knee injury?

Nuss is not on Kipers top 5 and PFF has him 4th, but ranked 66th, so that is early 3rd round.. Mason Taylor on PFF is 54th, late 2nd round, not sure on Kiper's board.

Emory Jones is ranked 150th on PFF, late 5th round pick

Harold Perkins is ranked 129th, early 5th round.

Back in the Miles days we would often lose these guys, but with NIL LSU can get these guys a bump to stay and all 4 have legitimate chances to significantly improve there draft stock for the 2026 draft, in my view [and that is all it is].

Interestingly, LSU has 11 players ranked in the top 230, which means draft potential given the draft is 259 picks (2023 NFL draft). That is 1 less than UGA and Ohio State and same as Bama and 2 more than Oregon.

Campbell is the only one ranked in the 1st round, so we have lots of talent but not the high end 1st rounders we had last year and like we had often with Miles and O.

But Nuss and Taylor and Perk can go up and so can Jones.

I wish we could bring his dad and uncle on as defensive analysts.

BTW, Mason looks like his mom:

There’s no way for you to know that.

Financial pressures are one reason players leave early. He doesn’t have that. He should still do what is best for him, but his lack of financial pressure could keep him from making a bad decision.
