CLK has a process and I respect it.

As we sit on 1/1/26, do you think it will be more or less than 7.5 Active Ole Miss Football Players recruited to LSU for the 2026 season?

Ole Miss is going to pay out the arse just to keep their players from following Lane.

Probably under.

I'd bet the defense will mostly stay due to their defensive coaches being retained plus our defense being pretty good already.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us get a receiver or something but they retained their offensive line coach so I bet most of those stay and it remains to be seen if we get one of the QB's or Lacy.

They'll probably end up with more of our players than vice versa.

Under. Lane doesn't need to bring over a bunch of diamonds in the rough anymore and Ole Miss will overpay them to keep them from going to LSU. We don't need many of theirs.

Under.

Golding has already said they are prioritizing retention. We will get 2-5, but that’s likely it after them winning tonight.

But we should absolutely make plays where possible. The more we drive their prices up, the less they will have available to bolster their roster. They are losing a LOT of key contributors, especially on offense. If Lee goes pro, they could lose all of their main rotation WRs but Watkins and both primary TEs. 2 OL and their backup RBs. And Chambliss may not get the waiver, or may just head to the draft anyway.

On defense they likely lose Perkins and maybe Princely to the draft and both Safeties and Safe Ryan. They will have more returning there, but many of the impact players outside of Echols will be gone.

They could have a huge drop off next season if they can’t get portal commitments secured while others like us are locking top guys down early.

I could only see LK making a run at 4-5 of their star players and getting 2-3 of them.

I don’t think there will be a mass exodus there unless they are looking for money and going to a better school.

Definitely under. We have our pick from the other 50+ schools’ players. Take the best 2-3 players from UM, but 8 or more is unrealistic.

I said before it would be 2 at most. Kids are more loyal to money than a coach.
