I'd rather lose by 40 to a #12 seed in a play in game then win the NIT.

If you've answered NIT. I hope you walk through broken glass on lava in a volcano that erupts on your way to hell.

I think we'd all rather a first round loss in the big tournament. The proof is that everybody here wanted us to get in the big tournament knowing that we didn't stand much of a chance

The fact that you are in the NIT means your season was a disappointment. So I'd rather make the NCAA and lose like we did to NC state then win the NIT.

Well our fans wanted to fire our coach for losing in the national title game game. I bet they would feel diff had we not won the sec and won the sugar bowl instead.

Would you rather lose in the College Football Playoff or win the Independence bowl?

ETA: Sorry for repetition. I'm a little slow.

Would you rather have NO shot at winning the NC (being in the NIT), or have had a shot and lost it (making the NCAAT and losing).

Answering NIT is ridiculous

LSU is a major university, and I'd rather we have a chance and lose, over no chance at all.

I'd rather lose rd 1 in the NCAA's, than win the NIT.

In football, I'd prefer the Bama situation, losing in the playoffs to Ohio St, over the Arkansas one- beating Texas in the whatever bowl.

It's exactly the same thing, other than the fact that the Chick Fil A bowl gets more coverage than the NIT

So being one of the top four teams in college football and losing is comparable to being a 9 seed in NCAAT and losing in the first round of the tournament?

Awesome, got it.

Still playing >>> Not playing. No one remembers a first round loser in the NCAA either. I'd much rather LSU be playing than not.

If the option was a slim chance at getting to the sweet 16, I'd certainly pick the NCAA.

Isn't there a mid season version of this exact question? Not calling Germans just want to see how the general consensus has changed since the last game.

That said one and done in the dance for sure

I'll go with losing round one in the NCAA tourney. LSU had one true freshman that played very much. A team like Vandy with a bunch of freshman is probably best served by going to the NIT and winning some games, but that situation is a rarity.
