Finishing off 2011 in style would have been sweet. It hurt for years but honestly 2019 (especially with that dynamic offense) helped me heal.

2011 because it means I didn’t have to sit through 1/9/12. Worst fan experience of my life.

I went to the Oregon, Tennessee, Bama, OM, SECCG, and NC game, along with every home game. Middle of my college career and one of the funnest years of my life.

A piece of me died in the superdome that day.

Sure field a defense and would have won one

I’m going to say 2023 because had we won in 2011 or 2012, this program would have still taken the same decline with Miles in the ensuing seasons.

2011

That night led to me getting banned for a couple months.

Too soon to say.
Suppose CBK continues to shite the bed and gets canned after 2025 season.
Then our new coach comes in and we win 4 NCs in a row.

Crazy to think that if we could field a defense in 2023, and miles wasn’t on his way out in 2015 and we had a better coach to coach that fournette/guice team, we could have played in the national championship every 4 years since 2003.

If we win in 2011, would we still have Miles as a coach?

Holy incompetence!!!

I've only been banned once, and then TD welcomed me back. So, I came back after an over 6-month hiatus. True story.

The narrative is completely changed on BK if he wins a natty in his second year, and he would be allowed to ride out the majority of his contract.

Fans are probably much more understanding of this year and any potential failures in subsequent years given the quick turnaround (Win the West in 2022 and Natty the following year).

It would be 4 straight coaches to win a title here, which is an incredible feat. Even if you do have to let Kelly go, it becomes that much more desirable of a destination for the best and brightest in coaching.

I probably pick 2011 given how I have never gotten over that loss and never will, but I can easily be talked into 2023.

2011. Miles would have been 4-2 against Saban at that point. LSU would have been the first SEC school to win 2 and then 3 BCS titles. That momentum spring boards us into the 2012 Natty. Now LSU has 4 BCS titles and is 5-2 against Saban. Miles probably stays forever. We never get 2019. Who knows.

2011. If we hadn’t no showed in NOLA against Bama and Saban the next decade would have been amazing.

100% this, and still no idea why LSU is the only school in the nation that doesn’t claim it’s own national championships from the beginning

2011 was arguably more dominant than 2019 up until the Nati. 2019 really turned it up a knotch after the Bama game. You could've put together a team with the best player outside LSU at each position and still would've lost in the Nati. It was like 700 yards vs 300 yards against Clemson. Winning by 17 or whatever it was, wasn't telling of how dominant LSU was vs Clemson. Still made O kneeled inside Clemson's 5 yard line at end of game when another TD would've been easy.
