Emotional Answer: 2011. My senior year of college. Would have been awesome. But I really don’t know the ripple effect.
I doubt Les is fired in 2016 with 2 natties. So does 2019 happe?

Logical Answer: 2023. We defiiitly
would still have all the prior Natties and people would be a lot more chill around here.

Until Joe vs Jayden was discussed.

2023 because 2011 or 2012 could mean 2019 doesn't happen.

2023 means 5 claimed titles and a lot of momentum for the current staff. And I suffer from recency bias.

2023 by far

Winning a 4th NC with 4 different coaches put the program in elite stratosphere.

It’s the program, regardless of the coach.

Agree. If we win in 2011 or 2012 we wind up having Les Miles a few extra years with antiquated football and we don't win 2019.

No downsides at all to having won it in 2023.

1/9/12 was worse than 9/11. 2011 is the only answer. frick Saban and every inbred cousinfricking Alabama fan.

LSU National Champions of 2012

Les should have thrown it on 3rd down on that final drive before the FG. Mett, Landry & OBJ were cooking that game. Make that 1st down & the offense could have run out the clock.

2011 because we don’t get 2019 without it, and I think 2019 was worth it. So for me it’s 2023

2011 title likely leads to a 2012 title or another title within a few years. LSU fell behind Bama specifically bc of 1/9/12

As far as I’m concerned, we won the 2011 National Championship.

The BCS title game became fraudulent the moment they forgot that “every game counts” and decided to game the system to give Bama a do over. It’s next to Roy Jones Jr in Seoul as the greatest travesty in the history of sport in my mind.

The ESPN led media jihad knowingly created a situation where LSU had to go 3-0 vs Bama twice and UGA, while Alabama simply had to go 1-1 vs. LSU.

The Tigers were number 1 in two NCAA recognized sanctioning organizations, A&H and the Colley Matrix, IIRC. Those are absolutely as legit as Bama and others retroactively claimed national titles based on the Helms Athletic Foundation, Parke Davis, the Boand System and the Houlgate System.

2011. That was the best defense I've ever seen. Slightly better than 03. Had they won the NC, they would have completed the best CFB season in history. I'll never forgive Miles for his horrendous gameplan and in-game coaching that night.

2023 only cause Jayden Daniels deserves a national championship

Miles screwed up 2011 season by inserting Jordan Jefferson. JJ didn’t deserve a national championship given Reggie’s incident. Look back on that season and you could see why 1/9/2012 happened. J Lee was slinging it for first 8 games. Miles puts in JJ and offense was crap for last month. Thanks to elite D and TM on special teams for saving the season.
