Im old enough to remember LSU hiring NFL career defensive coordinator, Bill Arnesparger. He was a fantastic coach while at LSU. He then went to UF as their Athletic Director and hired Steve Spurrier.

I will say this: Bill is far more equipped to handle NIL than anyone we currently have. He managed an NFL salary cap for decades.

What do you think BK is doing? The staff is considered ( before the season) to be one of the best assistants in the country.
Bill has never recruited college players in his life. What makes you think he would be able to do that now? What player would play for a coach that probably won't be there for 4 years?
I get the idea of his success in the NFL but his last few years without Brady hurt that mystique about his greatness. If hired, it would only be for his name.

He has NO IDEA what he might be getting into. Today's CFB players, family members, handlers, etc. NIL & the portal.... Ask Saban for his advice Belli before you sign on for this huge headache.
