With Milton maybe but without him they probably go 2-6.

Vandy, Arky, and Oke Miss maybe lose

The grind of 8 games at that level would wear them down.

Yes. They’d be a 50/50 team.

Only if they got to play the weak teams early in the year. They don't have depth to compete for an entire season at this level.

They would be a 10 win team in the East.

And they would fight Ole Miss for the cellar in the West

They’d get beat up playing an SEC schedule. Those dudes were soft.

On any given day they could beat anyone but Bama. Quit acting like the SEC is some magical universe where only the best players in the world can survive. Outside of Bama we are all beatable.

Would NOT finish 500 in league. Would be annihilated up front.

I’m not saying they could not win a game or two but winning 4 of 8 against 6 teams with equal talent to theirs would be difficult

They might go .500 this year. The real question is what they will do moving forward. They play Stanford and Pitt next year and dodged a series with Florida. I just don't think they can maintain what they've built. A couple years from now they will be just a memory.

I think they would be similar to Missouri. They had a little swagger that would probably disappear in the grind of SEC play. They are a speed team.I don’t they are soft just not especially physical.

They'd have better athletes if they were in the SEC.

Kind of senseless to imagine the AAC version of the in the SEC.

It depends on how they are managed. Florida State was once like them, and they were able to climb to the upper echelons and stay there.

Yep. Theyd recruit about on par with Arkansas (not this year's Arkansas) and Missouri. And they'd do about the same. Have some decent years and some bad years with a great year sprinkled in every 10 to 15 seasons.

South Carolina
Tennessee
Auburn
Missouri

UCF could beat all of these teams.

I agree that they would be able to recruit better athletes were they in the SEC. the question would be could they get guys that UF FSU and Miami also wanted or would they have to settle for second tier SEC players that may only be a little better than what they have now

The point is could they go out next week and beat Auburn? Then the following week beat FL? Then Miss St?

We know they (any many teams like them before) can get up for one or 2 big games, the question becomes if they can do it week in and week out? Based on what I saw today I don't think so.

The grind of the SEC schedule is what makes it tough, not necessarily that every team is the best in the world.

Would they do better than coming in 3rd in the SEC West?

They’re a little bigger fish in a small pond. They were forced to step up and got their asses kicked today. They’d get arse raped in the SEC west.

frick em dead. Goodbye and good riddance.

I hope every pundit on ESPN that was hyping/pulling for them and doubting LSU gets arse or dick cancer. Or both. Concurrently.

And I mean that in the nicest way.

We manhandled them with double their yardage on offense, and even with the star QB, if they had to face our starters, they still wouldn't have gotten any more yards. We are one of the more talented SEC teams, but most SEC teams have more talent than them, so they would have to have luck, like they did today, to beat most SEC teams. There are only a couple of SEC teams that don't routinely recruit many 4 star players, while UCF has only had a handful of 4 star recruits. The reason they win is because they are playing other teams full of 2 and 3 star recruits, and they coach up the talent they get. They have players that are impressive despite their star ratings, so either they have a good eye for talent that is underrated, or they do a good job of coaching them up, plus they run an innovative offense. For example, that play that got down to 2 seconds where it looked like they were going to take a timeout, but then snapped it to get a big gain. That type of cleverness keeps defenses off balance. Do that against comparable talent, and you'll win, but they couldn't overcome our talent advantage, and they wouldn't be able to overcome the talent advantage of most SEC teams.

They would be in the east, so Missouri is a good comparison. I think over time they could be competitive having the state of FL to recruit.
